Talk:Howard Baker
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
To John Kenney: I took off your line that began "Although..." because it did not have an ending. Please add it back with the complete thought. I would love to see it. Thanks.
- Ah, yes - I had read somewhere that Baker's statement was originally intended to defend Nixon by suggesting that he hadn't known about things. But I couldn't find confirmation, so I wasn't going to add it. And then I forgot and added the half-completed sentence. john k 04:30, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Calling Howard Baker a "distinguished American statesman" is an opinion and not a fact. I am not slamming Baker, but it's not an appropriate description.--Susan Nunes
- I agree, and I've removed that phrase, along with making other edits. JamesMLane 08:14, 10 October 2005 (UTC)
