Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project is a New York City and Metropolitan Transportation Authority proposal to encourage business development on Manhattan's far West Side along the Hudson River. Originally, the plan was to have the New York Jets build a stadium over the MTA's Caemmerer railyard. That stadium would have also been used for the 2012 Summer Olympics. But when New York failed to become the Olympic host city, the stadium idea faltered. The project may also include extending the Number 7 subway line to 11th Avenue.
