Hyacinthoides hispanica |
Hyacinthoides is a genus of the Hyacinthaceae (formerly Liliaceae) family. Its contains three species:
- Hyacinthoides hispanica - Spanish Bluebell. Southwest Europe (central and western Spain, Portugal).
- Hyacinthoides italica - Italian Bluebell. South central Europe (northern Italy west to northeastern Spain).
- Hyacinthoides non-scripta - Common Bluebell. Northwest Europe (western and northern France, Belgium, Netherlands, Britain, Ireland).
The genus is included within Scilla by some botanists.
Hybrids between H. hispanica and H. non-scripta are named Hyacinthoides × massartiana.
