Map showing the Mid-Atlantic Ridge splitting Iceland and separating the North American and Eurasian Plates. The map also shows Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland, the Þingvellir area, and the locations of some of Iceland's active volcanoes (red triangles), including Krafla.
