Indian summer, victoria park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Indian Summer is an annual music event sited in Jordanhill, Glasgow's Victoria Park. The two-day festival is noted for having a rather unique laid-back and cosy atmosphere and for the availability of high-quality drinks and foodstuffs at its many stalls. Camping is not available and there is little in the way of accomodation in the predominently residential areas surrounding the site.
2006 The inaugural Indian Summer was held on the weekend of the 2nd - 3rd of September 2006. Acts included Amp Fiddler, Hot Chip, Mr. Scruff and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs
2007 This year's event will take place on the 14th and 15th of July, with tickets (priced at £65 for the two days) available to the general public from March. Confirmed acts include the Flaming Lips, The Rapture and Optimo, with more to be announced in due course.
