INNOVA at Jadavpur University (Chemical Engineering Department)

Innova is the bi annual departmental journal / magazine published by the students of "Chemical Engineering Department" of Jadavpur University. This journal was first published in the year 2002. Till date a total of 5 issues have been published.

The advisory panel comprises the following eminent personalities

Following are our main objectives

>To materialize the concept of a simplified journal for the students

>The main object is to produce a technical magazine which will enable even the freshmen to get acquainted with the technical aspects of the field of chemical engineering.

>To establish the creative identity of the students

>The journal serves as a platform for the students to express their creativity by encouraging them to make original contributions to the content of the journal.

>To build a platform where the students can interact with the industry

>Interaction with the industry is an essential part of an engineering course. The magazine is aimed at providing such fruitful interactions in the form of interviews, discussions and case studies.

>To enhance the knowledge portfolio of the students regarding the field of engineering in general and chemical engineering in particular

>The magazine is a fine source of knowledge regarding the latest developments and innovations in the field of chemical engineering. It incorporates articles, contributed both by the students and professors that are informative and help the students enhance their grasp on the subject.

You can participate with us in the following three ways

1. Writing in our magazine / journal. Our magazine has different sections of varying interests in which we welcome all to write in. You can have a look at our previous copies available for download in the "ABOUT INNOVA" section. The last date for receiving submissions for the magazine under the specified categories are to be mentioned by the Chief Editor at a prior date, as a link on the top of this webpage. Interested students, proffesionals, professors and researchers are to send in their entries to our e-mail address in the "FEEDBACK section"clearly specifying the category and the issue for which they are sending their entries.They also need to fill up a form (available for download in this webpage) and send it to us along with their entry. No entries shall be entertained after the specified date. Receiving of entries does not entitle them for publishing straightly. It would be the sole decision of the editorial board in matters of selecting entries for final publishing. Personnel whose entry is selected is to be notified prior to publishing.

We are also planning to give recognition to the best entries through adequate arrangements.
