INTERGALACTIC CIVILIZATION (official name is in block capitals), or Ingalciv, is a text-based sci-fi game using the MSWLogo engine created by Singleton and an un-named designer "jftsang"[1], who is the current head of LogoGames, a non-profit gaming organisation. It is licensed under the GPL (but see below).

[edit] Game
The game is played by loading a LOGO interpreter and loading the game into it. The player can play as one of six alien civilizations. The civilization will collect resources: food, energy and cash, and will develop technology. The game is over when the civilization is eliminated due to starvation or lack of energy, or when the player dominates the universe.
The game is neither turn based nor real time: the player starts the day, is sometimes presented with a dilemma, and then can do whatever he wants until he specifies to start a new day.
The game is not particularly user-friendly: it uses many functions that are not very easily learned by a newbie. It does, however, contain documentation, and a full-scale encyclopaedia is due to be created that will give the user information on the game and the aliens (and also serves as a guide to the special events).

[edit] Functions not yet implemented
- Government types - affects how the government is run. Different styles of governments will be available, and will affect the civilisation in many ways. For example, a high-tax administration will often find itself in the hands of angry citizens, but collect more money than a low-tax community.
[edit] INTERGALACTIC CIVILIZATION II
Due to be released in 2010, Ingalciv II supports multiplayer using the MSWLogo Network.
[edit] Licensing
The game is availiable free under the GPL. However, the names of aliens, planets (and thus stars and galaxies), technologies, dilemmas, technologies, et cetera are owned by Luke Singleton (raddicalrabbit) with copyright.
