This is the section of Interstate 80 in Nevada. It serves the Reno-Tahoe region of Nevada, and serves to connect Interstate 80 in California to Interstate 80 in Utah as part of the Interstate Highway System. I-80 goes through the towns of Wells, Battle Mountain and Winnemucca on its way through the state. For most of its route through Nevada, I-80 closely follows the path of the Humboldt River.
