In Your Name Started in the begining of December 2003, from the demented yet creative mind of Steven K formely of Useless EducationSteven was going thru some changes, and wanting to write things other than fast punky screaming music, so one day early in december he was going to his friends house to check out an amp he was goign to get for christmas, and when he got there he met Moby sixstepand steven found out that this kid had some amazing pipes, so they talked and agreed to meet in a few days and start writing some songs.

So about a day or 2 later Moby met up with Steven and worked on a song that Steve had already recorded, the song was called pictures it was an acoustic song that was differnt than anything he'd ever written it was very dark and warm, so moby laid down some vocals with the help of steven on some lyrics and then came out there first song, steven and moby quickly showed all there friends the song, they then met up about 3 - 4 times a week for the next 2 weeks to write songs, share coversation and eat mcballers.

After writing about 5 or 6 songs they needed a name so steven wrote down a few names and some of the songs titles including Falling Down and In Your Name, so moby and steven decided on In Your Name, then they started talking about making a full length so they kept writing more songs, when they got to about 8 they started writing some shitty songs so they took a break and hung out and talked about what they were gonna call the full length and what the cover would look like, they came up with something on mobys computer and both liked it,so after that they wrote 2 more songs.

Then buy Christmas Eve "Midnight Diaries" was completed and moby stoped by and dropped them off and steven and him played a 3 song set of some song for a few people that were there, not long after they started playing shows at bars and venues and sold some cds, and got there name out, then one day moby decided to leave Sixstep cause nothing was really going on, and steven decided to leave Useless Education because the guitarist was moving far away and he wasn't getting along with his Singer Joel (his cousin) at the time, and his cousin was also moving back to oceanside to take care of his baby.

So then In March the In Your Name Full band started with Ben (drums) who Joel told us about, so we jammed with him and Joel on bass, but he wasnt gonna work out so it was just moby steven and ben for a bit, then they met up with dante (the band whore) on bass, then they were complete, they played a show, and then the band was gonna break up soon after, but they had one more show with The Reverd, Ten Foot Pole and Slick Shoes, so they played it, alot of people were sad to see that moby and steven were breaking it up, but steven had plans to start a new band with Kim (useless education Guitarist who was later in Iris) earlier that night, So they started a new band called "Westbrooke" with their old bassist and drummer, the band didn't last long so steven left for his band Call It off because nothing was going on in westbrooke about one pratice in a month.

Then one night in July steven and moby got together for the first time since march and wrote a song called "red blood red" and were stoked on it but then just didn't contact eachother again till steven called moby in October and wanted to start a band up again, so they started writing songs and then in November steven found two guys Tony (drums of former bands) and Squicket (tonys friend), steven and moby were writing songs then showing the band and playing them, praticing a good amount of times at stevens house, never really finding a bassist they recorded a 5 song demo which included The Way I Feel, Natalie, Christmas Song, Chapter One, Chapter None and I Am Not Mended.

Then shortly after they booted christmas song from there set list and started praticing some new songs, and only had abotu 2 more pratices then it just stopped no one really talked anymore, moby and steven didn't talk or hang out anymore and then steven started to make all the music by himself on the computer, making beats and adding keyboard and whatnot and moby recorded vocals to the songs for. And now Steven called Moby up and talked to Tony and Squicket, about starting the band up in late june or july to start working on the third album, and they will have all new recording gear to record with, they will get together all the time writing and demoing about 20 songs, and then when they pick out the ones that will go on the album they will re record all them. .
