Irfan Bachdim is a football player currently playing for FC Utrecht Junior A, a Dutch minor league football club. His father, Noval Bachdim, is an Indonesian while his mother is Dutch.
He started his career in Ajax Amsterdam, after 3 years in Ajax Amsterdam academy he moved to a 3rd division league with Argon and became a 3rd division top scorer despite his position as a midfielder,then after a good season at 3rd division ,FC Utrecht scouted him and brought him to FC Utrecht. Now he is the first choice at FC Utrecht Junior team and sometimes playing for the reserve team.
When Indonesia U-23 Team had a traning camp in Holland, Irfan played a few times for Indonesia U-23 Team, but unfortunately a week before going to 2006 Asian Games he got injured and the doctor said he had to rest for a month. He still has a dream to play for Indonesian National Team in the near future.
