Itō (伊東市; -shi) is a city located on the eastern shore of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 71,640 and the density of 577.18 persons per km². The total area is 124.12 km² (47.92 mi²).
The city was founded on 10 August 1947.
