The Italian Wolf (Canis lupus italicus) is a subspecies of the Gray Wolf found in the Apennine Mountains in Italy. Recently, the subspecies has also been spotted in areas of Switzerland. It is federally protected in both countries.
Diet
The Italian Wolf commonly feeds on small or medium sized animals, and carrion.
