Jack Watkins

Jack ‘Bluey’ Watkins was a rugby league player in the New South Wales Rugby Leage(NSWRL) competition.
A lock forward Watkins was renown as a brilliant cover defender, he played in 7 test matches for his country in a career career that spanned 14 seasons.
After enlisting in the first world war, Watkins was chosen to play a series of matches for Australian Imperial Forces(AIF) against England.
Watkins, who played for just 1 club throughout his career,played in over 100 matches for the Eastern Suburbs side.
