[edit] Plot
Jack is crossing a path through a mountain. When he reaches the other side, he is the witness of a battle between 300 Spartan-style warriors and an army of robotic bulls. When Jack sees that a Spartan is outnumbered by his enemies, he decides to take part and helps the Spartan defeat his enemies.
It turns out that the Spartan is the prince of his kingdom. When Jack meets his father, the king, he learns the story of the Spartans. They have been at war for many years against a robotic beast, that is the creator of the army of robots. The Spartans have superior skills, so they defeat their enemies easily. However, the robots come day after day, so the Spartans are starting to feel very tired and their morale is decreasing.
Jack tells the king that he knows a way to reach the Beast's fortress. The king decides to attack the fortress with 50 of his soldiers and Jack. At the end, Jack and the king fight side by side against the beast, and they defeat it, but when the fortress collapses, Jack is missing. The Spartans only know that they have to be grateful to their unknown warrior friend forever.
[edit] Trivia
Just as Samurai Jack is largely inspired by Frank Miller's "Ronin", so is this episode largely inspired by another Frank Miller work, "300".
