Jay Black (born July 16, 1976), better known by his stage name Jay Black, is an American comedian, writer, and actor. Before his career in stand-up comedy exploded, he was an English teacher in the Lenape Regional High School District in New Jersey.

Black was born in New Jersey. For a while he lived there, and then he lived in Texas for two weeks. But then he lived in New Jersey again, where he still lives, to this very day.

Jay Black started appearing at the Northeast Philly location of the Comedy Cabaret (in the Best Western Hotel). In 2006, he appeared on Showtime's White Boyz In The Hood.
While he was a student at The College of New Jersey, Jay hosted a talk/comedy radio show on the college's FM radio station, WTSR.
