Jens Martin Skibsted

Jens Martin Skibsted was born 28-06-70 in Sønderborg, Denmark. He graduated from the film school ESEC in Paris 1994, Philosophy from Copenhagen University in 1998, and Project Management from University of California, Berkeley in 2000.
As an entrepreneur he was bestowed with the honour of membership of Who's Who Historical Society and has founded and co-founded a host of companies, among them the art-association AV-ART, the world renowned bike company Biomega, Actics, an ethical consultancy and link Skibsted Ideation.
As a Creative Director he has worked with some of the worlds leading designers such as Marc Newson, Ross Lovegrove and Karim Rashid & helped position a number of brands.
As a designer he has created series of award winning bikes for Biomega and is a select designer for Puma. His works have been featured in a host of international design magazines, websites, books and blogs such as Wired,Designaddict, New Scandinavian Design by Christopher Mount (Author), Katherine Nelson (Author), Raul Cabra (Author), Bicycledesign, ID magazineand was recently on their I.D. 40 list. He has won the Wallpaper 2004 best bike category and the ID Design Distinction for consumer products in 2005. In 2006 his Puma bicycle was acquired for the MoMA collection.
