[edit] bionic man, cyborg
Should we use hype terms?
- the world's first real-life bionic man. He is the first person to operate
Let's not. Uncle Ed 19:00, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
Whether or not hype is an issue, Jesse Sullivan is in fact both partially a "cyborg" and bionic by definition of both. It's possible to argue even a lens implant is grounds for being that much closer to the Borg, but the useful integration of nerves is several degrees above a peg-leg or a hook. This level of sophistication in a human is noteworthy. 67.171.194.78 08:24, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
But is he a "first cyborg" - I would argue not, as every pacemaker patient also fits the definition?
