John Lutz (television writer)

John Lutz (born April 23, 1973 in Pipestone, Minnesota) is an American television writer and actor. Since 2004, he has served as a writer for NBC's Saturday Night Live. During this time, he has also appeared in small roles on SNL. Lutz is currently playing the recurring role of J.D. Lutz on the new series 30 Rock. His characters is a sketch comedy writer for the show-within-a-show.
