John Weathers

John Patrick 'Pugwash' Weathers (born February 2, 1947), in Carmarthen, Carmarthanshire, South Wales, was the drummer for the innovative progressive rock band Gentle Giant.
Weathers took over as the drummer on the band's opus Octopus and remained with them until their last album Civilian. He was well-liked by fans for his distinctive hard-bashing style. He also some times played vibes and xylophone, among other instruments.
Weathers went on to play in the progressive rock band Man for a short while, and as of 2006 has been playing with Wild Turkey.
Weathers is also a keen ornithologist.
