His date of birth and when he moved to various places may be incorrect, but are close to the actual times. I've read several sources which all say different things, such as:
- Chan moved to Hong Kong from China when he was 3
- Chan moved to Phoenix in 1968 -- 6 years after moving to Hong Kong (putting his birthdate in 1958/1959
- Chan moved to Houston 5 years after moving to Arizona
- Chan was 21 when he moved to Las Vegas in 1978 (putting his birthdate in 1956/1957

More about the BC Poker Championships then it's about Chan and listing every event that Chan (or any other poker player) was eliminated from would make for a very long list, in this case on day 1. ▪◦▪≡ЅiREX≡Talk 15:57, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
This is not a good biography for chan.
