[edit] Early years
Jon Baker started out as a rapper at Walla Walla High School, where he released a rap EP. After his transfer to a Catholic school as a Junior, Jon Baker began work with Carlos Jiminez and others on his first rock EP. After running low on money, he began using sound recorder to record his first full album, THINK/FEED. In the last summer of his youth, Jon Baker got together with Joel Thomsen and recorded a controversial album entitled Addicted to F****ing.
[edit] The College Years
Upon entering college, Jon Baker began running a recording studio and quickly met up with local rock lead guitarist, Bert Martin. Together, they released Shatterd, another full-length album, in Spring 2006. During this time, he became notorious on campus, getting kicked off stage a couple of times for offensive lyrics in a few of his songs.
Returning to college in the Fall of 2006, Jon Baker began working on his controversial new album,A Window to My Ass featuring such songs as Lets Play House, My Strap On, Cunt Dumpster and My Girlfriends Butthole Pt. 2.
Jon Baker began a line of clothing in late 2006, and is currently working on producing a Jon Baker Calendar for the year 2007.
[edit] The Controversies
In the 2005-2006 school year, Jon Baker was kicked off stage for offensive lyrics in his song about censorship, Censor My Haircut. He was also told by the Albertson College of Idaho faculty to remove his rock music mp3s off of the public drive. However, Jon Baker soon gathered support and was able to argue his rights to dirty songs as given in the First Amendment. The issue was resolved in a compromise, where Jon Baker placed a disclaimer in the folder with his dirty rock, in order to warn potential victims.
[edit] The Music Videos
After local success in the Spring of 2006, Jon Baker enlisted director Ryan Schaefges to produce his music video for the song Psycosis. It included cameos by the Campus Safety officers at his college. See it here. He is also planning on releasing a music video for "Censor My Haircut," and although the filming is in progress, production seems to have stalled.
