José Guillermo Del Solar (born November 28, 1967) is a retired football midfield player from Peru, who obtained 74 international caps for his national team, in which he scored nine goals. He made his debut on January 28, 1986 against PR China (1-3), and played his last international match for his native country on November 8, 2001 against Argentina (0-2), just before his 34th birthday.
He developed as part of the youth system of Universitario de Deportes, but played his first professional game with Deportivo San Agustin after he was loaned by Universitario to continue his development as a player. He won his first Peruvian championship with San Agustin shortly after.
He played his last official club game was a 0-0 tied with its traditional rival Alianza Lima obtaining the apertura championship on July 7, 2002 with his favorite team, Universitario de Deportes. Universitario defeated its traditional rival Alianza Lima 1-0 in the first game, and then proceeded to tied Alianza Lima 0-0 in Trujillo obtaining this award.
