Juan Valera Espín aka Varela (born 21 December 1984 in Murcia, Region of Murcia) is a Spanish football player who currently plays for Atlético Madrid of the Spanish La Liga. His usual position is midfielder, but can also play as a defender, on the right side of the pitch.
