June Wilkinson, one of the world's most-photographed women in the late 1950's - early 1960's. Curvaceous June was a star in Playboy and movie screens.
June was born March 27, 1940 in Essex, England. Having started as a stage performer at the age of 12, June went on to topless dance at the legendary Windmill Theatre in London from 1957 to 1958, after which she was discovered by Hugh Hefner. June first appeared in Playboy was in September 1958. At the time her breasts were so large Hefner called her "The Bosom". She was a brunette in those days, but in later shoots she was a blonde. Ms. Wilkinson proved to be so popular, she appeared again in Playboy in August 1959, and again in November 1960. Her measurements were:43"DD-22"-36".
Though she wasn't ever an official Playmate, she was featured in the magazine on seven separate occasions and was one of the magazine's most popular photo subjects. She appeared in more than fifty other men's magazines and newspapers from 1958-1970, making her one of the most well photographed models of the era. In 1997, in her late 50's, June came back for another nude shoot in "The Best of Glamour Girls: then and Now". In 1999 when Playboy published its list of the "100 Sexiest Stars of the Century," June came in at #30.
She was married to Dan Pastorini, NFL quarterback for the Houston Oilers and L.A. Raiders, from 1972 to 1982. She has a daughter, Brahna. Currently she hosts "The Directors," a cable show in which she interviews filmmakers. She's also putting together a show about the history of fashion called "Glamour's First 5000 Years."
