Talk:Juno Award
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
http://www.juno-awards.ca/ARC_about.php lists 1970 as the starting date for the gold leaf awards. Does anyone have know which of these dates is correct?
- Would suggest for Wikipedia purposes that 1970 be deemed the start of the Junos. The Juno Awards site (http://www.junoawards.ca) lists a few of the 1970 winners in its archives, suggesting that CARAS considers the 1970 Gold Leafs as canonical. RPM Magazine's honours pre-1970 were reader polls, not associated with any ceremonies or trophies. But there will likely be some naming issues surfacing regarding the Juno Awards of 1970 page. - There seems to be no indication from available source docs that the Juno Beach connection was an inspiration for the awards name. Dl2000 00:29, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
