Kallistimud

Kallistimud is a multi-user dungeon, text-based game started in 1993. It began under the guise of a different name. It was based on the popular DikuMUD interface. Over the years it gained popularity but in 2001 there was a rift between the two creators—"Sam" and "Izzy". "Izzy" took his code and formed a clone version. Today in 2005, there is a loyal fanbase.
