[edit] Unclear name attribution
Could somebody please clarify how exactly Kalilag and Damnag are called in Persian and Syriac (in original script and IPA transcription)? Web search is clogged with copies or modifications of wikipedia article, so if somebody has access to academic papers on the subject please quote.

I thought Ibn el-Muqaffa translated it directly from Persian to Arabic. When did the part about Syriac come in? Is that accurate at all?
