Kamiakin Junior High School

Kamiakin Junior High School is a middle school in Kirkland, Washington and is part of the Lake Washington School District. It was established in somewhere in the 1970s, and accommodates 613 students as of October 2006. Many of its students filter into Juanita High School. It is located about 1.5 miles northeast from Totem Lake Mall.

- Mr. Bates, the Social Studies teacher, has been with the school since it opened in the 70s, and actually helped build it as well.

- Kamiakin has only one award-winning program, and that is the band. Taught by Mr. Branman, it has won multitudes of praise from the community from their concerts and extraordinary efforts. Unfortunately, due to the snow storm during the last week of February, they were unable to go to Victoria.
- The class of 2011 gave the school their highest WASL scores ever, and students were awarded with a plaque that hangs in the trophy case near the entrance of the cafeteria.

Kamiakin won many sports titles in the late 70s to early 80s. The only recent titles they have acclaimed was the football title in 2004, and track titles.
