Keith Askins

Keith Bernard Askins (born December 15, 1967 in Athens, Alabama) is a former professional basketball player. After playing at the University of Alabama, the 6'7" Askins signed with the Miami Heat in 1990. A versatile athlete who could play at multiple positions, Askins spent his entire career as a reserve for the Heat, retiring after being waived by the Heat in 1999 with career totals of 1,852 points and 1,428 rebounds. He now works as an assistant coach for the Heat. His trademark is wearing a bow tie, rather than a conventional necktie.
