[edit] Coventry to Nuneaton Line

Oops! When I added the map, I meant to copy the title into the image caption, but I must have moved it instead, and I didn't look at the finished result. Thanks for picking this up. — Tivedshambo (talk to me/look at me/ignore me) —  20:50, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

You are welcome. Did you spot the problem on the West Coast Main Line page. The insertion of the map causes the table entries to go out of alingment so it does not read right. I don't know how to fix that one though because of the way it has been constructed.

Keith D 21:21, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

I see what you mean. I've done a temporary fix, putting the map above the table, but it leaves a lot of white space. I can see where the problem lies - the table needs to have separate rows for each entry, but I don't know enough about tables to do this. I'll leave a message on the talk page, but if no-one else comes up with a solution I'll try and learn! — Tivedshambo (talk to me/look at me/ignore me) —  21:32, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trent Valley

Dear Keith, I put it to you that by diverting attention to a Trent Valley Line article which simply repeats some of the information already given in the WCML article, you are not doing the reader a favour. The time to do that is when the Trent Valley line article is worth reading - not now. Sincerely, Noel NoelWalley 17:15, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] MLC School

Hello Keith! I just wanted to drop by and give you a few editing reminders per your additions here. Please remember not to use personal pronouns, and to make sure things are notable. If you think I was misguided in removing these additions, please contact me. Dar-Ape 03:19, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

*gasp* Please accept my sincere apologies. Not only did I accidentally remove your good edit, I confused you with User:Ellis 06 (who was the one who added non-notable content with personal pronouns) and mistakenly contacted you instead of him/her. Very sorry about this. I have restored your edit, and thank you very much for contacting me and remaining so calm despite my dumb mistake. Hope this clears things up. Cheers, Dar-Ape 22:02, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Proposal for rugby super league

Leave your opinion on this[1] matter if you are interested. It is basically about the term rugby super league being used as a disambiguation for all rugby competitions by that or a similar name. Currently it is used as a page for the American RU competition, the rugby super league.

[edit] Images

Hi Snowman, how about a couple of photos for the Willenhall, Coventry article. May be the precinct or one of the churches. Not too far from from your patch by the look of it. Keith D 11:19, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

I might take a while to get around all of the City. Snowman 16:47, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
I would be grateful if you would not put excess links to snowmanradio, especially in the edit history. Snowman 13:47, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re. Image Delete

I misread your question a bit I think... if you want an image deleted, that you created, just put {{db-author}} on the description page, which notifies admins to come and speedy delete it. I hope that helps, for any future requests. --Majorly 22:36, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for info. Hopefully I won't need it again. Keith D 22:39, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Coventry City F.C.

Hey, thanks for your message. I've had a good go at reconstructing a good page despite the vandalism and intermittent good edits. Have a look at it and let me know if you need me to do anything else! Cheers! Budgiekiller 07:56, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Battle of Filey Bay

Wanna come back to Yorkshire, mate, no you won't you're scared, We'll kick your arse. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 195.195.249.9 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Cawston

Thanks for your question. I think that it would clearly be better calling the page Cawston, Warwickshire rather than Cawston(Rugby). I would have done it myself but not sure if I can. The person who started it must have been a schoolkid who lives there I think! Cls14 16:35, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Cheers for that Keith. How do you change titles like that? Cls14 11:33, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tunstall

I was wondering if you would like to add your comments to the survey taking place on Talk:Tunstall,_City_of_Stoke-on-Trent? The move as requested by yourself, I undertook, but seems as though an individual wants it to go back again!!!

Please give your views.

Regards,

Aidan Croft 19:46, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Richard Horne cartoonist

Thanks for the improvements Teapotgeorge 14:22, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

No problem Keith D 14:30, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Charles Henry Bromby and Hull -> Kingston upon Hull

Thanks Keith for fixing up this and John Edward Bromby. I use Navigation popups to check links but on a quick glance the pop-up for Hull looks to be the right article, anyway, keep up the good work. – Diverman 03:12, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem - I try to keep an eye on the Hull page as it gets lots of links which need a dab. Keith D 10:04, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pickering

Thank you very much for fixing the link in John F. Tefft. CarolGray 19:07, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Alex Moore (musician)

You tagged the article for a history merge with Alex Moore (Bass Guitarist). Since both articles are identical and have both only been edited by one editor, why not just redirect Alex Moore (Bass Guitarist) to Alex Moore (musician)? IrishGuy talk 19:46, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

I was going to do that but thought that the history on the original had to be moved to the other article. My mistake if that is not the case. Keith D 19:49, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
The history doesn't have to be moved in a case like this. The two histories are pretty much identical. Since neither will be deleted (one merely redirected) the histories will still be there for viewing either way. If this works, I will go ahead and redirect. IrishGuy talk 19:56, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks Keith D 20:13, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
No problem at all :) IrishGuy talk 21:01, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sedgwick, Cumbria

I created this page. Why did you delete the Cumbria stub, the fact that it is 4 miles south of Kendal, and that Levens Hall is just west? And what "per guidelines for locations" are you ref to re: categories? PLEASE don't delete my infobox updates! (see www.sedgwick.org/na/misc/seggeswickvillage-1600s.html, which I linked to the article) Worc63 01:28, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

I did not delete the stub. I renamed it to remove the over disambiguation on the name by removing the England, United Kingdom which is totally unnesessary. On the categories you only need the lowest level category on an article. It is automatically in the other categories by virtue of that category being a sub-category of the one above.
The guidelines for use of England only and not UK were Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements
Keith D 10:52, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
By the way I have just looked at the diffs and I did not make any changes to the infobox. It is as you created it.
Keith D 10:57, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Barnoldswick railway station

I'm still working on it but have had unexpected problems (not with the article) that have delayed me completing it. If you feel the 'Under construction tag' should be removed then please do so. Gawthorpe Dave 09:07, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

No problem - I was just going to do a dab on one of the locations, it can wait until you have finished. I just thought that maybe you had forgotten to take the tag off. Keith D 09:18, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
