Kendall Robert Gammon (born October 23, 1968 in Rose Hill, Kansas) is an American football player who currently plays multiple positions for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Gammon was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1992 NFL Draft, after a four-year career at Pittsburg State University. In college, he played tight end, offensive tackle, and offensive guard, and handled the long-snap duties. When he went to the Steelers, he was the long-snapper from 1992 to 1995, and occasionally filled in on the offensive line. He spent four seasons in New Orleans, and signed with the Chiefs as a free agent in February of 2000. He was recently named to the Pro Bowl in 2005 as a special teams player, handling the long snapping duties for the AFC team. During the 2005 season with the chiefs he broke his leg. It is widely believed that this injury lost the chiefs the game against the cowboys. Being unavailable for the game the chiefs were forced to pick up a new long-snapper who snapped an errant ball to the kicker Lawrence Tynes as time expired. This forced the kick to be off target and the chiefs to lose the game. Kendall Gammon is an avid juggler in his spare time. He says he juggles because studies have shown increased brain activity. Gammon has a recently published book on the shelves called "Life's a Snap".
