[edit] Solo Career
Preparing for his solo debut, Thug Mentality 1999 in 1998. The album was released as a double disc set, featuring a large selection of guest appearances, including Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, The Marley Brothers, Mariah Carey, Big Pun, Fat Joe, E-40, 8 Ball & MJG, Kurupt, Treach and Snoop Dogg. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA.
In 2001, Krayzie released Thug On Da Line. The album didn't do as well as his previous release, and was criticized for its frequent guest appearances from fellow Thugline members by a few hardcore fans. The album received plenty of positive reveiws from music critics. The album went gold. Amazon.com went as far as labeling it one of the best albums of 2001.[1] Its also AMG's album pick [2].
Since 2003, Krayzie has released more underground and internet-only albums. He released The Legends Underground (Part 1); his latest, 2005's Gemini: Good Vs. Evil, received little promotion.
In 2006, Krayzie returned to the mainstream by appearing on The Notorious B.I.G.'s single "Spit Your Game", Chamillionaire's "Ridin'", 2Pac's "Untouchable", and on a remix of Mariah Carey's single "Don't Forget About Us" with Juelz Santana. Krayzie was also featured on Avant's 4 Minutes Remix and Frankie J's Never Let You Down. Krayzie Bone has collaborated on tracks with late rappers Eazy-E, 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., and Big Pun while they were all still living.
He is now working on the new Bone Thugs-N-Harmony album entitled Strength & Loyalty which is expected to release in 2007. It is rumoured to be a double-disc album to be produced by the Platinum Brothers, Three 6 Mafia (DJ Paul & Juicy J), Swizz Beats, and more. Possible guest appearances are Mariah Carey, Lil' Eazy, Chamillionaire, The Game, DMX and more.
