[edit] History
I wondered if anyone could fill in any information about the history of land sailing, particularly when it was first practiced as a sport or recreational activity in Western culture. I noticed that land sailing was mentioned peripherally in Neal Stephenson's novel Quicksilver, which is set in the late 17th century, but I can't find any historical evidence as to whether this is accurate or not. Anyone want to elucidate? --Kadin2048 23:45, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've added the main point at which it became popular as a sport, around the 1950s, but I dont really have any more info than that. I agree that some history would be good, I will try and hunt some down. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Vwozone (talk • contribs) 15:55, 3 January 2007 (UTC).
