There is a Lane Cove tunnel page which has a bit more info in it. Should be made into one, depending if tunnel should be a capital t
Tunnel air filtration is not a proven technology. There is no proof that it increases outside air quality, amongst other things. It is a huge burdon on greenhouse gasses. Refer: www.innovatieprogrammalucht.nl/data/Air%20Cleaning%20Report%20Mch%2006.pdf
The assertion above is completely false. Tunnel filtration is proven technology that has been in place in other countries for over 25 years. Current technology would enable emissions to be filtered to 0.03 of a micron which is approximately the size of a virus.
