Latin American cinema refers collectively to the film output and film industries of Latin America. This includes the sizeable South American industries of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Peru and the North American industries of Cuba, Mexico and Puerto Rico. By definition, it also covers the film industries of other Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries in the Americas, including Central America. This would include Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
