Lebara is revealed as the 4th fastest growing company in Britain. Lebara has implemented its own telecoms platform for linking mobile-phone networks across Europe. It boasts that it was the first European company to provide such a service, which has enabled the London company to offer low-cost international calls from mobile phones. Founded in 2001, Lebara now provides services in 17 countries, including Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Demand from an increas- ingly international population wanting to use mobiles for communicating with friends and family abroad has boosted sales 242% a year from an annualised £946,000 in 2002 to an annualised £37.9m in 2005.[2]

Lebara Mobile is among this year's list of companies set to dominate the UK Mobile revolution in 2007, according to Real Business Magazine . Appearing at number 14 in the list drawn up by an independent panel of UK mobile experts, the report profiles Lebara Mobile along with other young British firms picked from an initial sample of 200 companies. Report author Stephen Pritchard describes the list as “A dazzling collection of entrepreneurial talent.”[3]
