Levance Fields

Levance E. Fields is a college basketball player for the University of Pittsburgh Panthers. Fields was born on June 14, 1987 and hails from Brooklyn, NY. He attended the prestigious basketball school Xaverian High School, which has also produced former Pitt star Chris Taft and Chris Mullin of the Golden State Warriors.
Fields was named New York Player of the Year by the New York Daily News and Newsday. He currently finished his sophomore season as the starting point guard for Pitt. He averaged 9.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game for the Panthers in 2006-07.
Fields missed two free throws at the end of regulation in the Panthers' 2007 NCAA second-round tournament game against Virginia Commonwealth University, forcing the game into overtime. Fields later redeemed himself by hitting a key three-pointer in the extra period, helping the Panthers to the Sweet 16, where they would later lose to UCLA and former Pitt coach Ben Howland.
