[edit] Quotes by the author
- "This book is about liberals and all their little tricks. One of their tricks is their hegemonic control of the media, which is why TV stations like Fox News, the Internet, talk radio and books are terrifying to liberals, it allows conservatives to communicate with one another."
- "Liberals prefer invective to engagement"
- "Liberals hate America, they hate flag-wavers, they hate abortion opponents, they hate all religions except Islam, post 9/11. Even Islamic terrorists don't hate America like liberals do. They don't have the energy. If they had that much energy, they'd have indoor plumbing by now."
- "The good part of being a Democrat is that you can commit crimes, sell out your base, bomb foreigners, and rape women, and the Democratic faithful will still think you're the greatest."
[edit] Reviews
FAIR criticizes the book for "the hypocrisy of Coulter's fervent denunciation of the exact kind of name-calling that is her specialty":
- Coulter spits out one personal attack after another, calling her political foes "half-wits," "bird brains," "termagants" and so on; she compares NBC anchor Katie Couric to Hitler's wife, calling the former Today show host (she has since moved to become main anchor of CBS Evening news) "the affable Eva Braun of morning television." [1]
The Daily Howler ran an extensive series of articles in July, 2002 documenting Coulter's "problem with the truth" (July 10). They checked many of her extensive footnotes to find "bald-faced dissembling" (July 11) and "misleading examples" (July 15) from the beginning to end (July 23).[2]
