The Kingdom of Yugoslavia, also known as First Yugoslavia, came into existence on 1 December 1918 with the merger of the Kingdom of Serbia and the State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs.

In 2003, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was renamed to the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro.
