In a town called Heatherfield, five girls hang out at their school, Sheffield Institute. They're named Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay Lin. They are all invited to Hay Lin's house for snacks for the afternoon, but when they get there, Hay Lin's grandma, Yan Lin, explains to them that they have been chosen to be the Guardians of the Veil. She then explains the tyrant Prince Phobos and his servant, Lord Cedric, took over Metamoor not so long ago, and that to stop his evil from being spread to other planets, the veil, a wall between worlds, was created. A war between Phobos and his army and the "rebellion" consisted of young men trying to break free from Phobos' evil kingdom has begun. However, portals have started to appear on Earth and the Metaworld that would transfer people from one world to another, meaning the veil is cracking. To stop Prince Phobos' evil kingdom from spreading, those five girls are chosen to become the Guardians of the Veil, sealing portals with the Heart of Candracar. After a lot of processing and confusion, the girls accept their destiny and learn their lives will never be the same again. Meanwhile, in the Metamoorian capital city Meridian, the two rebel leaders Caleb and Aldarn are chased by Castle Guards for stealing castle supplies...

Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia and Hay Lin have now gotten used to their power, but Will has been captured by Prince Phobos so he can have the Heart of Candracar. Will, along with Caleb, are put together in a dungeon cell. There Will meets Caleb, when another character, the passling Blunk, shows up. On Earth, the girls find out about Will's disappearance and must leave picture day to go to Meridian once a portal appears. Just getting used to their powers, they must sneak through the moats of Phobos' castle, defeat the guardian Gargoyle their, and rescue their teammate. After successfully releasing, Will, Caleb and Blunk, Phobos and Cedric discover their escape and send Gargoyle to attack them. After really using their power against an enemy, the girls finally get a good control over their powers and are able to chop off Gargoyle's left hand. After saying goodbye to their new friends Blunk and Caleb, the girls go back to Earth. That's when Hay Lin discovers their initials spell WITCH. In Meridian however, Phobos has some plans of his own...

Originally Aired: January 29, 2005

Production Code: 103

Caleb and W.I.T.C.H. have returned safely to Earth, but back in Meridian, Vathek (the rebel spy cell guard) has been put under suspicious eyes, namely one of Phobos' knights Raythor, by throwing him the key to his handcuffs is in trouble. It was discovered that the key was missing, and Prince Phobos orders the guards to search the castle. If the key is not found soon, Vathek will be punished. Caleb later discovers that Blunk had taken the key from the hiding spot in which Caleb had put it, and goes back to Meridian to put the key back so Vathek won't get punished. Hay Lin's grandmother tells W.I.T.C.H. (who were practicing their new powers) Caleb has gone, and the girls force Blunk to show them where the portal is; they discover that Blunk can find the portals by his sense of smell. They go to Meridian, and meet up with Caleb and Aldarn, and discover how life of normal Meridianites is. After helping some citizens from guards, the girls and Caleb sneak into the castle, fending off guards and Lurdens, and rescue Vathek from being thrown into his punishment chamber: The Abyss of Shadows. The girls take down Raythor and put the key in his uniform, so when Cedric and his troops arrive, they take Raythor for the blame of stealing the key, and Raythor, not Vathek is thrown into the abyss. With that taken care of, the girls go back to Earth, while Phobos apparently is wanting a family reunion...

This can be considered Part 3 of It Begins and It Resumes.
This is the only episode in which the girls make certain noises while transforming. For example Taranee makes a scared noise while Hay Lin and Irma giggle before saying their elements.
From this episode onwards, Will makes an indistinct and inaudible sound during the transformation sequence. Despite various theories and different interpretations in closed captioning, her call-out remains a mystery word. Actress Candi Milo revealed that Kelly Stables never made a call-out word for that scene, and it was an audio glitch. In season 2, this was fixed when Will says, "The Heart".
Goof: When the girls are talking to Blunk, Irma's skirt is green in one of the scenes.
Goof: When Will pulls the eel off Taranee, she's speaking in Irma's voice. It was revealed Candi Milo and Kelly Stables were playing a voice-switch game. This happens in a few other episodes.
Goof: The Key in this episode is a different key than the key seen in It Resumes.
Irma was imitating Elvis Presley when she said, "Thank you, thank you very much." This was Elvis Presley's main tag-line in the 1950's and 60's.

[edit] Happy Birthday Will

It is Will's birthday, and being the new girl around, the thing she wants most of all not to happen is to have a birthday party at Irma's house. Irma swears not to throw one, but the other girls plan one with the theme of frogs. Meanwhile, Phobos sends Cedric out to Earth to steal birth records, claiming he has to plan a family reunion. While Taranee distracts Will and Irma, Cornelia, Hay Lin (who gets a portal map from Yan Lin) and the other girls set up the party. After a long stalling, Taranee finally take Will and Irma to Irma's house, and the party is on. Alchemy and Elyon flirt with Caleb, Martin annoys Irma, and Hay Lin throws food out the window to Blunk (claiming it is a Chinese tradition) as the party heats up. The girls find out that Cedric is invading city hall, and rush to stop him, leaving Anna and Tom in charge of the party. Meanwhile, Cedric searches for birth records of girls in Heatherfield 13 years ago and is pleased when he finds them. The girls rush to the rescue, secretly being followed by Uriah, Kurt and Clubber, wanting to pull a prank for not getting invited to the party. Instead, they get scared off by Caleb and Blunk, who along with W.I.T.C.H., battle Cedric at City Hall. After Cedric retreats back to Meridian, the girls go back to Irma's house to finish Will's party. As Will arrives back, she meets a handsome boy: Matt.

Principal Knickerbocker is proud to announce that Sheffield has a new history teacher: Dean Collins. And just in time, as it is time for the annual Sheffield's service to the community where the students take different jobs. The girls tell Will that everyone rushes to school early that day so they can get the better, non-dirty, safe, jobs. The next day, the service to the community begins. However, while Will is painting over graffiti at the train station, she sees some weird words from Meridian, and blacks-out. The service day is over, and Yan Lin sends the girl to Caleb and Blunk, who take them to the rebels' hideout: The Infinite City. There they talk to the Mage, who reveals there is a beast disguised as a human trying to get close to the guardians in Heatherfield. When Will finds out Dean Collins is dating her mom, W.I.T.C.H. immediately has a prime suspect: Collins. The girls start spying on him for awhile, until they are certain he is the beast. That night, the girls set their trap and ambush Collins. However, after much attacking, they finally realize he is not the beast. Will goes back home and Susan announces that she has broke up with Dean, which Will now realizes Dean is not a bad guy. Meanwhile, the true disguised beast, Cedric, finds out that Phobos's sister lives in Heatherfield and opens up his new store: Ye Olde Bookshop, in downtown Heatherfield.

Goof: When Martin's job is announced, his hair is brown, not orange.
Goof: If you check before and after the flashback to last year's "community service day" the girls are wearing different outfits after the flashback than they were before it.
Goof: When Taranee looks in at the lizard in the tank at Mr. Collins' place, the lizard is the size of a salamander, but a few minutes later when the lizard is out of the tank on the chair Mr. Collins is sitting in, the lizard is the size of an iguana.

Every student in Sheffield Institute is getting his midterms back and everybody is just about happy with his grades, except Taranee. Cedric's disguise as a bookseller seems to have attracted Cornelia, Elyon, Irma, Taranee, and Hay Lin to the store to look for history books (and to ogle at Cedric). While in the bookstore, the present W.I.T.C.H girls inadvertently touch an inversion point and find themselves in the middle of a Labyrinth that leads to Phobos’ castle, leaving a confused Elyon to talk with Cedric. Now, the girls must find they're way out of the castle and back to earth, helped by the Meridian villagers and chased by the Tracker. And Blunk must warn Will and Caleb of the girl's disappearance so that they can find and transform them before Phobos or the Tracker does.

The girls find out that Phobos mistreats the Meridian Villagers, forcing them to work in his castle for "crumbs" as Trill puts it, and stealing their life force to increase his powers.
W.I.T.C.H also learns of the existence of Phobos's sister, the true heir to the throne. Trill also tells them that there are rumors about her not knowing who she is and about her living on earth, as a normal girl. Trill says that they must find the girl before Phobos does or there will be no hope for Meridian.

Originally Aired: February 26, 2005

A Swiss exchange-student called Sondra shows up and steals the attention of all the boys, including Nigel, Matt and even Martin, which drives Elyon and the W.I.T.C.H girls red with fury .The W.I.T.C.H. girls go to a before thought stupid school skiing trip to show up Sondra, and Will ends up having to race her to win a seat next to Matt on the way back. Which would be fine, if Will could ski. But since she can't, Hay Lin uses her air powers to make Will soar through the slopes. Little do they know that Phobos wants to take advantage of this challenge them and separate the other four Guardians from Will and the Heart of Kandrakar, the only thing that can activate their full powers.

Matt expresses that he remotely likes Will.
Irma expresses that she likes Martin, as she gets jealous when he pays attention to Sondra and not her.
Sondra is revealed to be a fake at the ends of the episode, and she supposedly exchanges schools, as she is never seen again.
Elyon seems to have fully joined the W.I.T.C.H girls as their new best friends, although she stills doesn't know about their powers.
Goofs : In this episode, Will can not transform Hay Lin without transforming herself, but in later episodes she can transform other girls without transforming. This could just be that Will is still learning how to use her powers effectively.

[edit] Ambush at Torus Filney

Hay Lin signs the girls up to perform a play about mythology. The other girls think it's lame, but they participate anyway. The play they're performing tells the story of how the Heart of Kandrakar was created. Meanwhile, Phobos and Cedric spread a rumor that the Seal of Phobos has been discovered, to discover if there is a spy among the castle workers. Caleb leaves Earth to find the seal before Phobos retrieves it, and is ambushed by Lord Cedric in Torus Filney, a living sandpit that swallows anyone falls into it. Hay Lin's grandmother tells the girls that Caleb has returned to Meridian and has fallen into Phobos's trap, and she then shows them how to create Astral Drops of themselves to do the play. W.I.T.C.H then transforms and goes to save Caleb.

This episode was originally titled Springtime for Heatherfield.

Goof: When she sits on the step-ladder (during the rehearsal of the school play), Irma has paint smeared on her pants. But in the next shot her pants are clean.

Prince Phobos sends the Tracker after Caleb in an effort to recapture the rebel leader. Meanwhile, the girls all try to go see a movie staring there favorite actor. But will they be able to save Caleb and defeat an old foe and get to the show on time?

Originally Aired: March 19, 2005

While at the Art Museum trying to capture the feeling of the middle ages for their school carnival, Will, Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay Lin get sucked into the painting they are studying. Unbeknownst to the girls, Phobos knows they are trapped in the painting and sends Frost the Hunter after them, but the girls escape with the help of Elias Van Daal, the imprisoned artist of the painting. Meanwhile, Irma, Caleb and Blunk have to stall for time at the Medieval Carnival and figure out how to get the girls back to Heatherfield. Anachronistic hell breaks loose when Cedric and his goon platoon enter the painting to get the Heart of Candracar and girls have to paint like mad to get away. Irma and Caleb rescue the girls from the painting and manage to salvage the school carnival thanks to the number of people they brought back with them from the painting.

Notes, Goofs, Trivias and Quotes

Chris Lair, Irma's brother, sees the girls moving inside the picture and believes to be a TV, and doesn't appear surprised when people walk out of it.
In the end of the episode, in a close up of the picture, a girl who looks a lot like Elyon is seen, wearing medieval clothes and with a worried look on her face. This suggests Elyon has a connection to Meridian.
Phobos says that he only allows sad pictures and sculptures to be placed inside the castle.
Goof : When the girls are pulled in the picture, the frame is gold, but when they come out it is made of wood.
Goof : Will says that they have no powers in the picture, but Hay Lin managed to blow a bowling ball into Cedric's tail with her powers.
Goof : When Will tries to transform, the heart won't glow, but later it is glowing like it always is.

[edit] The Stone of Threbe

Originally Aired: April 2, 2005

Phobos has finally found an indisputable way to find his long-lost sister: The Star of Threbe, a magical amulet shaped like a seven point star, created by The Mage to find and guide the lost Princess Weira home a long time ago. The star works simply : when it is activated, it finds the current heir to the throne of Meridian, who is attracted mysteriously by the star. Once the heir has the star, the star blocks the magical powers of everything within a certain range of the heir. Then the amulet guides the heir back to its home. Only once the heir is home, or is separated from the star, will the blocked powers be brought back. Cedric then places the star on the front of his bookshop. A zombie-like Elyon walks in and takes the star, placing it upon her neck and walking out. Meanwhile, Blunk is causing a lot of trouble in the Silver Dragon ( Hay-Lin's parents's restaurant) because of his stench. While the girls try to give a much needed bath, they suddenly find that they and the Heart of Kandrakar have lost their powers. Going back to the Silver Dragon, Yan Lin explains to them about the Star of Threbe and how it works, saying that if they are powerless, the heir had found the star. Phobos takes advantage of the situation to send a monster to Heatherfield, and the girls and Caleb manage to fight it as best as they can. Elyon, now woken from her zombie like trance, gives the star to Cedric, saying that it creeps her out. The girls get their powers back and defeat the monster. Unfortunately Phobos and Cedric have who their looking for, she just doesn't know it yet.

Elyon is revealed to be the long-lost Light of Meridian, the true heir to the throne.
The star is supposed to guide the heir home, but for some reason it didn't guide Elyon anywhere, maybe because she wasn't lost in the first place.
The W.I.T.C.H girls don't know about Elyon's identity yet.
Princess Weira, the heir for whom the star was created, is later revealed to be Elyon's birth mother.
Quote : ELYON "Cedric? I believe I took this from your window. I don't know why, I just... took it.

[edit] The Princess Revealed

Originally Aired: April 16, 2005

Elyon is Phobos's sister and the true heir to the throne of Meridian, she just doesn't know it yet. Vathek overhears Phobos and Cedric's plans for capturing her and hurries to tell Caleb only to end up running for his life when Cedric comes to stop him. Vathek and Blunk escape to Earth with Cedric and a worm-looking monster hot on their heels. Vathek relates the news to Caleb who relates the news to the Guardians. Yan Lin tells them that Phobos's will be careful with her, because he knows she has powerful magical powers. She says that they will send beasts in disguise after her, that she will be attracted by for reasons she doesn't understand. The guardians remember Elyon's new, ugly but green eyed boyfriend (Brian) and believe that he is a beast. Even though Cornelia is reluctant to believe that Elyon is "this evil princess", they go after Elyon to keep her safe the beast's clutches. However, they have to send the Larvek back to Meridian and end up looking like overprotective freaks. Rick dumps Elyon because he says her friends are too weird. He isn't a beast after all. Elyon slips off crying. She heads back to her place of comfort: Cedric's bookshop. Meanwhile the girls argue about whether or not to tell Elyon about her being a princess, and decide not to, much to Cornelia's anger. Notes, Goofs, Trivias and Quotes

The rebellion and the guardians find out that Elyon is the Light of Meridian.
Cornelia says that the only reason Elyon can like Rick is because he is a beast, since she describes her perfect man as tall, blue eyed and with long blonde hair. This description fits Cedric perfectly.
Goof : In the Key, the girls make friends with Vathek, but in this episode they don't remember his name.

[edit] Stop the Presses

Phobos is anxious to bring Elyon to Meridian, so he is preparing the Ritual of Amalgamation. This ritual will cause a part of Elyon to be in Meridian already, so that it will be easier to bring her there afterwards. For this ritual, he needs symbols of Elyon's body, mind, and spirit. Cedric takes her hairbrush ( body ), A+ math test ( mind ), and is trying to take her breath. Meanwhile, Taranee forces Irma to join the school paper with her. Martin, the photographer catches a glimpse of a Hermeneuta beast from Meridian and the only thing that will get him away long enough for the girls to send it back home is a date with Irma. Catching the little beast is not as easy as it sounds, especially when the mom shows up. In the end, the girls eventually manage to take the beast to Meridian and Cedric finally captures Elyon's breath ( spirit ) in a balloon and all that's left is to take her to Meridian.

Notes, Goofs, Trivias and Quotes

Goof : In this episode, the girls fight without Irma, and are as powerful as normal, but in later episodes they are more powerful together. This could be because in the later episodes their powers weakened because Corny left the group, but this time Irma was just getting Martin away.
Phobos manages to complete the Ritual of Amalgamation.

[edit] Parents' Night

It's parents' night at the school, and nobody (except Hay Lin) seems very excited, especially Elyon. She feels that Cedric is the only one who understands her, not her friends, and especially not her family. When Elyon does her family tree research, her parents do not have any pictures of her other relatives. Elyon thinks that it's because they don't care about her but it's for a whole other reason. Cedric reveals to Elyon, that her parents are beasts, and that she is the Princess of Meridian. Elyon is so confused but she goes to Meridian, her original home.

[edit] The Mudslugs

Cornelia is so upset about Elyon being taken to Meridian that she fights with Will for deciding not to tell her about Meridian and quits being earth guardian, which weakens the girls' powers. Phobos uses this opportunity to send disgusting flesh eating mudslugs to eliminate W.I.T.C.H, now merely W.I.T.H and Caleb. Luckily, Will uses the Heart of Kandrakar to send a message to Cornelia, who is glooming out at Alchemy's house. Cornelia comes running to help them and they put the monster back into the portal. Meanwhile, Elyon, now adjusted to her new life in Meridian, is under an illusion Phobos's created, which maked the city and the castle look beautiful and alive. Phobos's uses his powers to make Elyon believe that her friends already forgot her and are happy without her.

Alchemy seems to develop a friendship with Cornelia.
All of the school thinks Elyon is on vacation.

An astonished Caleb discovers that fellow rebels have been turned into zombified Trance Marchers by the sound of a magical object called the Horn of Hypnos. Thanks to the Horn, Phobos and Cedric now use the rebels as workforce. But when Blunk steals the Horn and brings it back to Earth, the trance starts to spread to Heatherfield. The Guardians are called in to help save the day… and on School Dance night, too! Only a specific melody can break the spell. Hay-lin is under the trance, but then Will turns them into their human form. Caleb takes the guitar from Matt and plays the melody which breaks the spell. Everyone goes to the party and has a grate time! :)

[edit] Ghosts of Elyon

Will and the rest of the girls try to tell Elyon the truth about Phobos and Meridian, but Phobos has assured Elyon that it is best that they do not find her, He teaches her how to create shadow-less ghostly copies of her to fool the guardians. The guardians soon learn about the copies and try desperately to find the true Elyon among them. Returning to earth, Hay Lin says that she heard Elyon say that she left her sketch book on earth. Will stays at Elyon's old house to see if she comes to get her sketch book. In the middle of the night, Lurdens come to fetch it but Will is unable to defeat them. Luckily, Blunk is able to follow the stench they left behind and leads the girls to Phobos's castle. They are attacked but Cornelia is able to catch a glimpse of the true Elyon before they leave.

[edit] The Mogriffs

Elyon sends an astral projection copy to earth to show the guardians her newly controlled powers and scare them away from Meridian. Phobos is worried that Elyon still misses and trusts her old friends, so he finds her a new playmate : Miranda, a beast who is a huge spider in her monster form. He sends beasts called mogrifs to impersonate the guardians and attack villagers in front of Elyon. Meanwhile in earth, Cornelia secretly goes to Meridian and leaves a confused astral drop behind. Sneaking into the castle, she gets to Elyon's room and tries to talk to her. Elyon, confused and angry, traps Cornelia inside a bubble-like sphere. With the help of Caleb and Blunk she manages to escape. They journey back to a sleepy Elyon's room, where Caleb assures her that the rebels are on her side. Caleb and Cornelia are forced to flee the castle, but Caleb manages to take Phobos's Book of Secrets. Cornelia joins the other guardians and defeats the mogrifs, then going back to earth. Elyon tells Phobos about Caleb, but he tells her it was just more lies.

[edit] The Underwater Mines

Phobos uses the knowledge of Caleb's father's being alive to lure him and the Guardians to the Underwater Mines for an ambush. Fortunately, Hay Lin hears the guards whisperings, which allows the group's unimpeded access to the mines. However, the element of surprise is soon lost and the group is on the move. Cedric floods the mine and sends the group plus Caleb's dad on an Indiana Jones-type mine cart ride to the main shaft. Once there, they use the guardroom to float to the surface and come face-to-lizard face with Cedric and a platoon of guards. Cedric tries to go after Caleb and the miners stranded in the remains of the guardroom, but Irma and Hay Lin cool Cedric out with a flash-frozen bubble. Phobos is sitting pretty in his castle, thinking that he has taken care of the major thorns in his side until the girls show up with the last laugh in his looking-glass floor.

The Guardians are stunned to learn that their math teacher Mrs. Rudolph is the Meridianite nanny who brought Elyon to Earth twelve years ago. She opened a portal with the Seal Of Phobos... but lost it during the escape. Elyon has made contact with her and told her to tell the guardians to quit coming after her and not ruin her happiness. On the run from castle guards, Caleb and Blunk split up. Blunk hides in a sewer where he finds The Seal where it has lain undiscovered for twelve years. Not knowing what he has, Blunk begins waving the Seal around, opening portals all over Heatherfield, which the Guardians rush to close. But the girls don’t realize that every time they do, they’re cutting off an escape route Caleb needs to avoid capture... In the act of closing a portal, the girls find Blunk with the seal, and he accidentally causes the seal to merge with the Heart of Kandrakar. Caleb learns that Elyon’s parents, the Browns, are being held in the forbidding underground prison at Cavigor. He and the Guardians plot a difficult escape; while a distraction from above draws guards upwards, Cornelia will tunnel in from the Infinite City below. But one slip and Phobos will discover the rebels’ secret subterranean hideout.

[edit] Caleb's Challenge

When Caleb's best friend, Aldarn, accidentally becomes hypnotized by Elyon into signing a peace treaty, Caleb has to fight him for the position of leader. Meanwhile, after leaving their baking duties for the school bake sale to Blunk, the guardians enter a trap filled with Larveks and they must defeat them before the rebels get eaten by them.

[edit] The Battle of Meridian Plains

Cedric blocks the village’s water source, in the hopes that thirsty Meridianites will break down and reveal the location of the rebels’ secret hideout. There’s fresh water in a nearby lake but it’s inhabited by an elusive creature called the Kaithim, which the Guardians have to battle. But Cedric discovers the entrance to the Infinite City, just before Vathek is able to seal his comrades inside. Aldarn, separated from Caleb and with limited food before the City is inevitably overtaken, makes a tactical decision to charge the Castle. Caleb and the Guardians join the premature attack but the uprising fails and many rebels, including Aldarn and Caleb’s father, are thrown in Phobos’s dungeons

[edit] The Rebel Rescue

Caleb is making plans for the escape of the rebels captured by Phobos in the abortive battle of the Meridian Plains . With Blunk’s help, he tries to map the tunnel system to the castle’s dungeon. But the reconnaissance mission goes wrong and Blunk is left behind on Meridian. Looking for the Passling, Caleb and the Guardians find and save a Castle Guard wounded in battle and left for dead by Cedric. When the Guard, Tynar, sees Earth and the girls’ concern for his recovery, he switches loyalties and promises to guide them through the complex subterranean passageways into the dungeons where the rebels from the uprising are being held. The daring raid frees the rebels, and Tynar begins spreading the word among Phobos’s guards that the other side of the Veil is not as they’ve been told. Back in Heatherfield, Will impulsively kisses Matt, who has offered her a pet dormouse named Mr Huggles earlier in the episode.

[edit] The Stolen Heart

An evil Passling, named Jeek, steals The Heart of Kandrakar, from Will, leaving Will to think it was Blunk, who had stolen it! Meanwhile, curious about his girlfriend's strange disappearances, Matt follows Will, the other Guardians, and Caleb, through a "portal", to Meridian - and discovers their secret.

[edit] The Final Battle

The day has come for the final battle for Meridian, Caleb comes up with a plan that will lead the rebel army in to the castle, the plan is set, but Phobos and Cedric finally show their true intentions and lies to Elyon and is stuck and powerless to stop them. Back on earth the Guardians get ready for the final assault and the plan happens, meanwhile the Coronation is happening and Phobos tries and drains all of Elyon's powers, until the Guardians disturb him and when Elyon is free, she helps the Guardians capture Phobos and all his soldiers (including Cedric who got shrunk to a little snake by Phobos as a punishment.) Light is restored to Meridian and now Elyon is queen and the Guardians believe the threat is now over.

With Phobos' evil reign at an end, Elyon, Caleb, the Guardians, and the Rebels, take a moment to relax. But, fearing a return to anonymity, Taranee begins acting "out of character". In Meridian, a new evil arises, the "Knights of Vengeance" are formed, by an old - and unknown - woman. These knights are people important during Phobos's reign but that have been imprisoned or hurt by the guardians, rebels and Elyon. Frost the hunter prepares an ambush for the guardians, revealing that they are back to duty as the five Guardians.

Miranda arrives on Earth - in human form - and creates distrust and suspicion among the Guardians' parents, and the Police, by accusing the Guardians - mainly: Will - of kidnapping Elyon... Will's mother, Susan Vandom, makes a decision that would jeopardize her daughter's relationships with her friends - and her responsibilities as a Guardian.

Caleb agrees to help Matt train, to become a warrior - in exchange, Matt helps him survive high school. Meanwhile Nerrisa creates powerful warriors, what destroy everything on their path to the Elyon's castle, but then she arrives they disappear. By the end of the show, Willl finds out her powers over Quintessence, and by using it she destroys the warriors.

The Guardians must rally together, to keep their friend, Will, from moving - while each is plagued by life-and-death nightmares, involving an "old hag".

Caleb tries to win Cornelia's heart back, but she won't hear of it. What the Guardians don't know is that she already has a new guy - Peter Cook, Taranee's older brother. Problem is, he thinks that she (in her Guardian form) is her own older sister, 'Lillian'. Caleb and the Guardians follow her to the ice skating rink where the rebel leader tries his best to match her at her favourite sport - but ends up falling flat on his face. It doesn't help that Drake, Aldarn and Julian have been captured by Nerissa. In the end Cornelia decides to break up with Peter and be with her tru love, Caleb.

[edit] G is for Garbage

After Blunk manages to get another "Horn Of Hypnose"... A mystical horn, that turns its victims, into zombie-like "Trance Marchers!" In the market in Meridian, but when Blunk goes back to earth, Jeek - the evil passling follows to take the horn from him to trade. Blunk visits Irma who is grounded because there is alot of junk in her garage by Blunk leaving it all there. The other guardians soon find Jeek with the Horn Of Hypnose, following him to Meridian.

Blunk, Irma and Matt fold to Meridian to find Jeek on his own to find he traded the Horn for a golden helmet to the Knights of Vengeance, Matt ties Jeek up and has him going to the place where the trade happened. Upon the arrival Will, Taranee, Cornelia and Hay Lin show up with the Horn of Hypnose, but they have been turned into Trance Marchers, Irma and Blunk escape, but Jeek amd Matt are caught by the Horns spell and are turned into Trance Marchers. Irma and Blunk constantly manage to escape the Trance Marchers coming after them time after time, Blunk keeps trying to remember the music tone to break the Horns spell. But knowing they can't keep runing away, Blunk comes up with Plan B. The Trance Marchers finally catch up with them and turns Irma and Blunk into Trance Marchers!

The Knights of Vengeance quickly arrive and order will to transform Irma into her guardian form and then they get ordered to use the Horn Of Hypnose on Queen Elyon, the trance marchers head off to the castle, when they move further away Irma and Blunk pull out the ear plugs that Blunk had come up with in Plan B, and try to get the Horn Of Hypnose, after a while of fighting Blunk remember the notes to the music that breaks the spell and says them, the Guardians, Matt and Jeek are no longer Trance Marchers and the Horn is destroyed. When Jeek tries to run away, Irma says this whole mess was his fault and that Blunk should decide his punishment, and Blunk decides Jeek needs a bath (passlings hate water, bath) and he gets a good bath.

[edit] H is for Hunted

Desperate to help her friends decorate, for a party - and appease her mother, by doing her chores - at the same time, Will conjures up an "Astral Drop" (A, nearly, life-like copy, of herself, to do her chores - while she helps, with the party decorating!) Unknown to Will, and the others - however - the evil Nerissa brings Will's "Astral Drop" to life - and persuades her to destroy, the real Will. In the end, Will understands her Altermere's wish for life, and absorbs her into her body, so she can live inside her. She then gains the memories of the Altermere, such as doing the laundry, swinging in a swing and... seeing Will's mother kiss Dean Collins.

[edit] I is for Illusion

Caleb faces off with the Knights, while W.I.T.C.H. discusses Nerissa with the Council of Candracar, who know nothing about the sorceress. The Oracle assures the Guardians that their changing powers are natural and bids them a good vacation. Blunk and Caleb spy on the Knights while the girls enjoy their holiday. Unfortunately, Nerissa is up to not good again. She uses glamours and illusions to turn the Guardians against each other. Caleb and Blunk learn that the girls are in danger and hurry off to find them. But the power of friendship is strong enough to survive Nerissa's wicked plans and the Guardians, joined by Caleb and Blunk, unite to beat the sorceress. Harmony is indeed, as the Oracle said, the key to being a Guardian.

[edit] J is for Jewel

The Knights of Venegeance and Nerissa plan to who get their venegeance on next and go for Elyons earth parents, after Nerissa goes, the Knights come up with a plan of their own to get into the castle where Elyon lives, they settle to set Phobo's free who is in prison in the Infinite City.

Meanwhile, up at the castle, Elyon who is now getting more curious about her birth parents and the teardrop-shaped jewel from Weira’s crown that Trill gave to Elyon. She and Trill then go into the chamber of meditation, hoping that Elyon's powers will let her access some of Trill's memories about her (Elyon's) parents. Elyon, still in the chamber, sees a memory of Trill where Elyon's parents demonstrate disgust for her and love for Phobos. Elyon also sees her mother, the past Light of Meridian, threatening Trill. Believing her parents to be horrible people, Elyon starts crying.

Meanwhile, below in the Infinite City prison, the Knights of Venegeance attack the guards to get Phobo's and his army out, during the battle, the Tracker manages to smash down the cell bars on all prisons, except for Lord Cedric. Phobo's gathers all the remaining of his army together with the Knights. Miranda nervously asks what about Lord Cedric, Phobo's tells her that he should forgive him, but doesn't and then shrinks Miranda into a tiny spider, who is then placed into the cell with Cedric and is left behind. News spreads round the castle that Phobo's is free, but cannot do anything when the Phobo's, the Knights and the army arrive, because the castles defences were built round Elyon who is currently in meditation.

Hay Lin gets the news that there is trouble in Meridian. But the other four are all around the world on holiday. But Yan Lin tells her that she can teleport to get them around the world but drains her life force, so Hay Lin gives her grandmother part of her life force. Soon all the Guardians are in the Silver Dragon Basement. Meanwhile, at the castle, the Knights of Venegeance and Phobo's gaining the upper hand and are winning, until the Guardians arrive and manage to stall Phobo's for a while, buts blasts everyone in the room in opposite direction, leaving only Hay Lin in the middle of the room, who is still weak from part of her life force been taken. As Phobo's is about to destroy her, she gets angry and kicks him off his feet and disables him until he gets up again. Elyon (who finally has arrived) immediately imprisons Phobo's with his army and even the Knights of Venegeance ending their reign of terror.

The Guardians then celebrate with Phobo's defeated once again and fold back to earth wondering how they get back to their holidays. But Elyon is not happy, accusing Trill and her earth parents of lying to her about her parents being horrible and nice to Phobo's. Trill reminds her that her mother loved her and gave her the jewel (apart of Weira’s crown). Elyon remembers the jewel and throws it away, but Trill catches it and laughs and turns back into Nerissa. When Elyon tries to use her powers, nothing happens and Nerissa explains that the jewel is part of Weira’s crown and has been draining her powers for months. She also explains that she needed Elyon to give her powers away freely without knowing to Nerissa (Nerissa couldn't have taken the power by force since Elyon is the Heart of Meridian.) To get the jewel back freely, she fed Elyon evil and horrible not true images of her parents to get the jewel back.

Elyon is now mad at Nerissa for taking her powers and giving her false informtion about her parents and runs towards Nerissa, who traps her inside the jewel, disappearing and claiming that the Heart of Meridian is hers.

[edit] K is for Knowledge

W.I.T.C.H. gains new knowledge of their sorceress foe Nerissa, a former Guardian of Quintessence and one-time holder of the Heart of Kandrakar. The Oracle took the heart from her because he believed its power was corrupting her mind. He then gave the heart to the Guardian of Water, Cassidy. Maddened with jealousy over the power lost, Nerissa killed Cassidy. She was then locked up in a mountain, but was set free when a portal appeared in front of her. She had then lived in Meridian disguised as Trill and The Mage, making plans to destroy Kandrakar and conquer the world. The Guardians also learn that every world has a 'heart' and that Elyon was the Heart of Meridian. So with Elyon's power, Nerissa is as strong as all of them five together. Meanwhile Caleb, Blunk and Yan Lin go to the mountain where Nerissa was locked up to find it empty, confirming that the old hag is Nerissa. The guardians fight her on Merdian, but are defeated because Nerissa has the heart of Merdian to power her, the guardians fight her again on earth, but Nerissa retreats when Yan lin and Halinor appear and upset her about Cassidy's death.

[edit] L is for Loser

School has started: Irma is put in charge of Sheffield’s new student radio station K-SHIP, and winds up calling Martin a loser on the air, endangering their friendship and putting her in a lot of pain and sadness. Hay Lin is desperate to get Eric Lyndon to notice her, Taranee is furious at her mother for not allowing her to date Nigel and Will is worried about Matt, who has disappeared. Meanwhile, in Mount Thanos, Nerissa has captured Matt and Mr. Huggles and turned them into two horrible monsters : Khor, The Destroyer a beast which feeds on the rage and fury of its enemies and Shagon, the Angel of Malice, a dark angel who feeds on the hatred of his opponents. Nerissa also creates Ember, the Pain from the lava floating around Mount Thanos and Tridart, the despair from the numerous icicles on the cave. Ember gets her power from the pain and sadness of her opponents and Tridart gets his from their despair. With those five beings, Nerissa creates the knights of destruction, and sends then to destroy the guardians. Now, Taranee must conquer her fury, Hay Lin her despair, Irma her pain and Will her hatred of Shagon, who seems to know were Matt is.

[edit] M is for Mercy

Shagon torments W.I.T.C.H.’s friends and family, leading to a hatred-filled showdown that tests Will’s ability to show mercy. Meanwhile, Nerrisa tries to make Cassidy's ghost want to live again, and when Cassidy's ghost sees her mother (who cannot see Cassidy) she says she wants to live again, and Nerissa takes her under her control.

[edit] N is for Narcissist

The Kinghts of Destruction arive in Kandrakhar and start blasting the fortress apart. Meanwhile on earth, Cornelia’s narcissistic behavior is getting on the other four Guardians’ nerves, especially when she signs them up to help her out at a school carwash so she won’t have to do any actual work. The council do there best to guard the fortress with caleb abd the mage,the guardians soon gets the message that they are needed in Kandrakhar to get the knights. Upon arrival, Tridart has grown to an gigantic size (a bit of help from the mage) feeding off Halinor's desperation to help guard the fortress when she can't becuase without the aurameres, she drains her life force.

The guardians put do there best to keep them fromt he fortress, but Cornelia can't help because she can't do much of growing plants. But Halinor's desperation gets the better and knocks Luba out and tries to take the Auramere's from the guardians saying she is more expierenced than the guardians, in the midst of betraying the guardians to a dire battle, the Mage (who is Nerissa using a Glamour.) uses this advantage to take control over Halinor. The Mage then tries and takes all five Aurameres, but these cannot be taken by force and as Cornelia enters the room trying to find Luba, she is blasted with all five powers.

Outside, the four other guardians lose their powers and transforms them back to there selves in human form, but cannot transform back. They have lost their powers. But Cornelia shows up and has all five powersand battles against the Knights. Meanwhile the council decide to raise a samll veil round the fortress, which will safe guard them. The Mage and Halinor show up and link there magic with the council but the dark magic essence makes the Oracle now know that it was the Mage who hid among them, Nerissa reveals herself and casts the spell and a pink bubble surronds the Oracle, Tibor and Althor, trapping them in a small pink bubble veil prison.

The other Guardians fold back to earth annoyed over Cornelia behavior, and carry on with the carwash event. When folding back they find the Mage trying to take control over Cornelia as she has beaten the Knights. Luba arrives and then the Mage's true form is revealed to be Nerissa. She folds out with her prize: Halinor under her control. Her extra goal was to get the Aurameres but failed that part. The Auramere's are restored, but Luba informs the Guardians that the Mage was not the Mage at all, and the council is broken until the small veil prisoning the council is broken by the Heart of Meridian, which infortunatly Nerissa has and the job to defeat Nerissa is now in the Guardians hands.

Caleb, Julian and the army arrives to face off with Nerissa, but defeats them all and also explains that the Mage also helped her to escape and was hoping to show her the brighter and better picture. To Nerissa regret she had to since she was in hiding. When the real Mage dies, Nerissa took over and started glamouring herself as the Mage. Julian starts getting angry saying how many years, but she replies with a taunting 'Numbers don't lie'.

Back on earth, Irma is busy running a concert and is being bossy and demanding of her minions (the other guardians.) But are starting to get cross and angry with her behaviour. While Julian shows Caleb the real Mage's grave and retells how they fell in love and had a child. But knowing it wasn't the real Mage, he drops the bombshell: Caleb's mother is Nerissa! Caleb goes to confront his mother on Mount Thanos and is captured and put behind his mothers jail bars while Nerissa created him to be the rebel leader fitting in to her vision and then tries to coax him to her side for power and safety over his girlfriend (Cornelia) and leadership over Meridian. Blunk and Julian go to earth and get the guradians to help, much to Irma's delight when its interupting the concert. Caleb refuses and before Nerissa can destroy him, Julian shows and tells her that there must have been some good in her, for having Caleb and she spares them just this once and leaves Caleb to think over this startling piece of news.

[edit] P is for Protectors

Caleb holds a meeting in the Silver Dragon Basement with Yan Lin and the Guardians about Nerissa's new plan: Gathering ex-Guardians and taking control over them. Nerissa already has Cassidy and Halinor under her control. Yan Lin tells the rest of the group that Kadma might be the next target for Nerissa. Yan Lin explains that Kadma is a guardian over earth and is queen of the purple planet called Zamballa. Zamballa was threatened by Phobo's and Kadma led the charge agains't him and Phobo's was defeated, the Zamballians were greatful that they gave the Heart of Zamballa to her and made her queen, after the veil was raised, she was trapped there leading the zamballians.

W.I.T.C.H. folds to another dimension to protect the world of Zamballa from Nerissa, but the sorceress and her Knights of Destruction are already using glamours to frame the Guardians for the destruction of the purple planet.

[edit] Q is for Quarry

Back on Zamballa, Nerissa and the Knights of Destruction attack time after time, but what appears so that they are failing so for. The Guardians arrive and meet Kadma, Caleb and Yan Lin on Zamballa, now having the advantage of two hearts of Heart of Kandrakar and the Heart of Zamballa and Nerissa only having one, The Heart of Meridian. They believe now they have enough power to take Nerissa's Heart. After another fight, Kadma wants to claim the Heart of Meridian, but the Guardians say all they want to do is free Elyon from Nerissa, but Will agrees with Kadma that they need to get the Heart away from her, but the others protest saying that a person having two hearts in one hand is powerful and might corrupt Will if she absorbs the Heart into hers.

Nerissa is soon found again with the Knights, while the fight goes on, Will and Kadma go after Nerissa. When they both knock her out for a minute, Will starts to absorb the Heart of Meridian but stops because Will feared that so much power would corrupt her like it did to Nerissa once. Kadma absorbs the heart into her Heart of Zamballa, However, a Heart must be given freely and cannot be taken by force, so the Heart of Meridian returned to Nerissa, bringing with it the Heart of Zamballa. The combined Hearts formed the Seal of Nerissa, since Nerissa used Kadma's weakness - Pride for thinking that she could wield such power - to take control of her mind.

The Guardians are forced to retreat and use teletransportation for the first time. They are also banished from Zamballa because as long as they are there, they tempt Nerissa to come back and attack. The Guardians now vow to protect Yan Lin as she is the next target for Nerissa.

• Nerissa now has Cassidy, Halinor and Kadma under her control.

• The two combined hearts form the Seal of Nerissa.

• First episode of the Guardians to ever try and use Teleportation.

[edit] R is for Relentless

A frightened Hay Lin is desperate to protect her grandmother from Nerissa. She hides her in Shell Beach cave but are soon found out by the Knights of Destruction. Since this is no longer a safe place for her, Will comes up with a new idea. Yan Lin now works in plain sight, in the school cafe! There they can keep an eye on her and on Shagon (Glamoured as Matt.) After school time, the knights and Nerissa show in the school gym after the gang who are there to take Yan Lin. Hay Lin without thinking orders Blunk to fold anywhere and shoves her grandma in and Blunk leaving Caleb and the four Guardians behind. Nerissa and the Knights go after Hay Lin.

Soon, Nerissa does a rentless chase to capture Yan Lin results in a chase across one dimension to another like Earth to Meridian to Kandrakar to Zamballa. Eventually, Nerissa takes Yan Lin to Mount Thano's, where the other Guardians are fighting the Knights of Destruction. Nerissa tries to corrupt Yan Lin with power, youth, beauty and finally safety of her grandaughter Hay Lin, Nerissa even glamour's Yan Lin of her guardian form to try and tempt her but refuses everything that Nerissa offers. Soon, Hay Lin and Blunk arrive to meet the other Guardians to transform and help defeat the Knights. The Knights are quickly defeated and Hay Lin helps her Grandma to escape while the other Guardians hold of Nerissa for a while. They all manage to escape.

Yan Lin is now sure that Nerissa will not come back to get her since Nerissa cannot corrupt her (in Nerissa's view uncorruptable.) and returns to the Silver Dragon, while Hay Lin can spend time with Eric (her crush).

[edit] S is for Self

Yan Lin wakes after a mightmare, but Nerissa comes into her room telling her she isn't the real Yan Lin. In the last episode, Nerissa tried to corrupt her, but couln't corrupt her. Before the Guardians stormed the cave to save Yan Lin, Nerissa absorbs Yan Lin into the seal with Elyon and creates an Altamere of Yan Lin in place of the real one. The Guardians resuced to the Altamere Yan Lin instead of the real one. Nerissa threatens her that if she told anyone who she was, she will also be absorbed into the seal.

Meanwhile, K-SHIP ‘Battle of the Bands’ concert is on, with a few bands playing, including Matt (glamoured as Shagon.) Who actual allows Matt to play the instructment to pass himself off as Matt. Shagon soon finds out that Will is now threatening Shagon's existence, so he decides to get rid of Will. While Matt still lives in Shagon's mind, he tries to get control over himself, but is not winning. Nerissa comes back to take control over the Altermere Yan Lin and folds back to Meridian with her.

K-SHIP ‘Battle of the Bands’ concert is under way, while Shagon leads Will into a trap with the other Knights to get rid of her. Cornelia and Taranee show up to help Will hold off the Knights. Will, Cornelia, Taranee start losing the fight. But as Shagon is about to destroy Will, Shagon starts to sing but in Matt's voice. Will soon recongises that Matt is in Shagon's mind. Matt then manages to destroy Shagon through Matt's love for Will. Matt is back and now has control over himself and Shagon form. He tells Will he is back and reveals that Khor is Mr Huggles to Will's shock. Matt and Mr Huggles start beating up Ember and Tridart.

Out no-where a fold appears and Nerissa starts to absorbing Ember and Tridart, killing them both to complete the enthrallment and transformation of the old Guardians and herself. She also drains Matt's and Mr Huggles powers, making them return to there old selves. Will then kisses Matt after missing him so much and celebrates his return along with Mr Huggles. Meanwhile Nerissa has completed transforming the old former Guardians to their guardian forms.

[edit] T is for Trauma

Hay Lin is thrilled with her new braces, but when a beautiful transfer student named Stacey arrives at Sheffield, her confidence fails her and there is trauma in store. Soon Guardians find out that Stacey is actually Nerrisa in her young form and she uses a spell to make all boys in school (except for Matt who is protected from any Nerrisa's spell). Irma's, Hay Lin's and Taranne's crushes also fall under Nerrisa's control. Cornelia then wonders if Caleb would betray them like this, but Will reminds her that Nerrisa is his mother. Guardians when face all former Guardians restored to full power and youth, and when Hay Lin sees altermere Yan Lin, believing she is real, she finds her spirit completely broken. Guardians then battle Nerrisa's team and Hay Lin realises what her only way in helping her grandmother is to fight Nerrisa and with her aid Guardian's defeat ex Guardians.

In this episode, while transforming into Guardians, Hay Lin doesn't say anything, but just stands and keeps silence
In this episode all ex Guardians's young forms are revealed.
Then Hay Lin's spirit is restored, Blunk calls her 'Smiley girl'

When Cornelia's parents go out for the night she has to babysit her little sister, Lillian Hale. When gone and start argueing, when Lillian leaves the room, Napoleon (pet cat) starts talking to Cornelia, which starts freaking her out. She calls Will, Irma, Hay Lin, Taranne and Matt come over to find the cat talking. They all fold to Kandrakhar to meet Luba except Matt who guards Lillian. The Guardians find out that Lillian Hale: is the Heart of Earth! She has the same strong magical powers like Elyon's, even though Lillian doesn't know all this making her a threat for Nerissa. Luba goes on to say that Cornelia was chosen for Earth Guardian so that she can guide her little sister into using her powers. The Guardians return to find Nerissa has glamoured herself as Cornelia and is trying to get Lillian's powers, but fails and leaves.

Cornelia starts telling a story about Nerissa threatening princess Lillian and she has four fairies that protect her from harm: Will, Irma, Taranne and Hay Lin, and Nerissa and her evil fairies. But the story as it goes on starts coming true! The flats turn into a castle and Nerissa and the Guardians fight with each, but Nerissa starts winning when Lillian makes a dragon come to life to serve Nerissa. As Cornelia soon becomes aware of what is happening outside, soon figures out that the only way is to take Lillian's powers from her, since she can't use them yet anyway. So Cornelia tricks her sister into handing her powers to the three new "Regents of Earth" : Matt Olsen, Mr. Huggles (dormouse) and Napoleon (pet cat). Without knowing she gives her powers away to all three of them.

Outside, Nerissa is winning, but everything returns to normal and Nerissa says the power has been taken, Shagon then appears along with Khor and Napoleon (grown to human size), the guardians are shocked to see them, but Shagon explains he is Matt still but can use Shagon's powers and his form but retain his free will. Kohr, Mr. Huggles, dormouse, who can now transform into Kohr but retain is free will and Napoleon that has grown into a feline version. Matt claims they are the Three Regents of Earth! All three start to attack Nerissa and the former guardians and are soon defeated and they retreat. The Guardians and "Regents of Earth" celebrate for the time being.

•"Regents of Earth" consist of Shagon, Khor and Napoleon.

•Matt now calls Khor, Mr Huggles and himself as Matt, not Shagon and Napoleon as Napoleon.

•Nerissa still has 2 Hearts (Heart of Meridian and Heart of Zamballa).

•W.I.T.C.H now has 2 Hearts too (Heart of Kandrakhar and Heart of Earth, inside Matt, Huggles and Napoleon).

[edit] V is for Victory

Nerissa folds to Aridia to get the Heart, back on earth, Will is tired by not getting a victory at the swimming compeition and Nerissa. She soon comes up with the idea that only Prince Phobo's can take the Heart of Meridian because he was an heir to the throne, she also explains they can't take the seal from Nerissa because of the Heart of Meridian was freely givern to her and anything contained in the heart gets carried along with it like the Heart of Zamballa. Will, Caleb and Vathek release Phobo's from his cell him swear with The Power of Candracar he will help get The Seal of Nerrisa, but will not use it for himself. He folds to earth to set up a plan while Phobo's goes to school with the girls causing havoc. On the way home, Cassidy, Halinor, Kadma and altermere Yan Lin show up on Nerissa's orders to eliminate Phobo's, they fail in doing so and are forced to retreat.

Cassidy, Halinor, Kadma and altermere Yan Lin show up in the swimming pool room of the school to destroy Phobo's again, but the former Guardians grow further from Nerrisa however she loses control on them and they regain their free will. Nerissa then finds out she loses control when she was about to get the Heart of Aridia, and is forced to abandon the plan and goes to the chaotic scene. She arrives and finds three copies of Phobo's, but knows they are fakes and quickly absorbs Cassidy, Halinor, Kadma and altermere Yan Lin (knowing she can't take control over them again)into the Seal of Nerissa making Nerissa a Quinto Guardian over Quintessence, Water, Fire, Earth and Air.

She goes however when the real Phobo's is about to take Nerissa's Seal, but escapes. Phobo's reveals that Blunk, Caleb and Matt were glamoured as Phobo's since the attack on the way home. He did this because he didn't agree with the Guardians plan and came up with a better one. Will now says that Nerissa gained more power, but for the first time, she is running scared.

[edit] W is for Witch

Will and Caleb let Phobo's release Miranda and Lord Cedric to protect him from any harm since the last attack, he un-shrinks them both back to their normal forms. Back on earth, It is Halloween, the one night of the year when a Heart can be taken by eliminating the familiar or regent of the keeper. Leading Nerissa to come to Earth to search for Napoleon, so she can eliminate him and take the power of the Heart of Earth for herself and add it to her seal.

The Guardians, Phobo's, Lord Cedric, Miranda, Matt (Shagon) and Mr Huggles (Khor) all lay a trap at the book store that Lord Cedric used to take Elyon to Meridian. Nerissa soon appears and they all attack her. In the fight, Napoleon escapes during the blasts flying round the store. They go to the school fair where the contest for the scariest costume is taking place, everybody shocked to see a great big green snake arrive and a four legged spider turn up at the school turns excitement up a new level. They manage to find Napoleon hide in one of the stands and recover him.

While all this is going on Irma (in guardian form) is taking her younger brother Chris, Cornelia's younger sister Lillian and Blunc trick or treating. She teaches them her trick to get more candy.

Everybody lies in wait until 5 minutes to go till midnight, Nerissa shows up and the Guardians, Shagon, Khor fight Nerissa in full front of the school and Principal Knickerbocker thinking its a show while Phobo's, Lord Cedric and Miranda wait and watch in the background. After a brief battle, Nerissa catches Napoleon, and all hope seems lost. However, she realities too late that it is not Napoleon that she has captured, but Phobos in disguise and the clock skrikes midnight.

Seizing his chance, Phobos takes the Seal from Nerissa (as an heir to the throne of Meridian, he can take the Heart of Meridian, or anything containing it, even if it is not given freely). He absorbs Nerissa into the Seal and refuses to surrender it to the Guardians, as he had earlier vowed to. Phobo's now says a new dawn, a new era, the "Age of Phobo's", which everybody thinks is part of the show and cheers for him.

[edit] X is for Xanadu

In a series of battles on Meridian, W.I.T.C.H. and the rebels, led by Caleb, lose increasing ground to an overwhelmingly powerful Phobos (backed by the Knights of Vengeance, Miranda and Cedric). Phobos restores Meridian Palace, and then increasing swaths of the countryside, to the awful gloom of his previous reign, and even renames the Seal of Nerissa as the Sceptre of Phobos (while inside the Heart of Meridian, Elyon and C.H.Y. and K. (with Yan Lin's altermere) face off against Nerissa, but must find a way to work in harmony if they're ever going to escape their mystical prison. Meanwhile, on Earth, Hay Lin must come up with a painting to compete in the Heatherfield Art Contest, with a theme of "my Xanadu," (a portrait of her idea of paradise) but is so frazzled and freaked out by the recent battles that she has artist's block - and the other girls voicing their own ideas of paradise don't help. Nor does Principal Nickerbocker mentioning that she's gotten Hay Lin's favorite artist to be a judge.

Blunk, spying, watches as evil Passling Jeek shares the new location of the rebel forces in the Infinite City with Phobos, who gleefully starts to plan the destruction of the rebels. Blunk folds to Earth just in time to interrupt the Art Show, where Hay Lin's painting (of the Guardians preparing to rescue Meridian from evil) gets her artist-hero's respect but loses to a picture of bunnies. W.I.T.C.H. and Shagon reach Meridian just in time to face off against Phobos's army, but Phobos brings the entire roof down upon the rebel base. Will and Blunk fold nearly everyone to safety on Candracar, but Blunk and Caleb are captured. Phobos, master of Meridian again, plans to conquer Zamballa, but likes Raythor's suggestion that he invade Candracar itself; if he captures the Heart of Infinity, all worlds will be his for the taking.

On Candracar, Drake blames the Guardians for their defeat; they knew that Phobos was evil, and they released him to fight Nerissa anyway. Shortly, Will admits that they lost to Phobos on purpose.

[edit] Y is for Yield

With Meridian taken over by Phobo's, Phobo's now has his slaves construct the great ring over the top of the castle to make a big fold to Kandrakhar fortress, while at the fortress, the Guardians explain to Tynar, Aldarn why they lost on purpose. Will explains they freed Phobo's to take Nerissa's Seal, but to make him swear oath on the power of Kandrakhar he would not use the Seal for himself, at the time he thought of this as a laugh. Luba sees the plan straight, when Phobo's made the vow, he had to keep to it or when entering Kandrakhar, the vow he said will be undone and he will be powerless losing the Sceptre of Phobos.

The Guardians now stay low for a while until Phobo's starts to attack. They fold back to earth to do there final exams, with Taranee frustrated recently over the headache's she keeps getting, the night before exams start, Taranee gets the urge to go and get Will to rescue Caleb and Will. She gets Will and both of them go to Meridian on there own. Raythor and the other Knights of Venegence are their guarding the cell, distracted by a noise everyone spreads out. Will and Taranee appear to face Raythor, but Gargoyle and Sandpit return, but Raythor for some reason blurts out "there on our side" Caleb and Blunk confused at was going on got out of the cell and returned to earth.

Both were now demanding an explanation of what was going on, Will explains that Raythor turned a good guy after Hay Lin went and visited him before Phobo's was released and asked why he serves Phobo's when he got punished for some crime he didn't do. Raythor answer he made a vow to serve him and Hay Lin left him after Phobo's was released by Will. She came back to visit him in time when Phobo's freed his army. Raythor saw that Phobo's is an honourless man he never keeps to his word. So then Raythor then convinced Gargoyle and Sandpit to join Guardians and become good guys with him, Blunk and Caleb satisfied go to Kandrakhar.

In the morning, the exams soon arrive and Taranee is happy that she is happy she passed. Spending time with the others, Taranee then hears Elyon's voice, Elyon is communicating with her from the Sceptre of Phobos, and tells her the attack on Kandrakhar is about to begin and the Guardians quickly fold to the fortress. Phobo's activates the finished Ring, bringing up a huge fold to Kandrakhar fortress. The army attack's and Raythor tries to persuade Phobo's to go onto Kandrakhar (secrectly un-doing the vow) but is not moving. Lord Cedric then manages to persuade Phobo's to give him a little bit of his power. Cedric who is now grown, quickly beats everyone in the room and as Phobo's is about to enter through the fold onto Kandrahkar (the guardians hoping that he will cross) but as one more step, Cedric swoops down and eats and swallows Phobo's whole!

Cedric grows through the roof of the fortress and tells that he has all of the powers and tells he has taken Meridian, Kandrahkar and next on his list Earth!

[edit] Z is for Zenith

Cedric laughing at his victory so far, Cedric tells everyone how at the Zenith of his powers are. When Miranda approaches Cedric, which is then revealed that their both lovers (which the everyone thinks is gross) and Cedric tells that after Phobo's left both of them, Cedric and Miranda vowed revenge on their master. Cedric then demands who will bow to him, Frost+Crimson and Tracker+Sniffer side with Cedric, but Raythor, Gargoyle and Sandpit side with the Guardians and start to fight each other. Cedric quickly defeats Gargoyle and Sandpit, the Guardians and Matt fold back to earth to protect their world.

Cedric enlarges Miranda to a ginat version of himself, before leaving. Miranda then leaves to get the Auramere's, with Caleb, Blunk, Luba and Sandpit chasing her. Back on Earth, Will oders Matt to get Mr Huggles and Napoleon together (as they are thr Regents of Earth) to get ready for their plan. Cedric arrives to Heatherfield and the Guardians arrive and the plan happens. The Regents of Earth create a glamour on Cedric and the Guardians to turn them invisible so nothing happens and by-standers won't notice. The Guardians are failing to make an impact on the big sized godzilla snake. Phobo's inside Cedric is struggling to stay alive and the C.H.Y.K.N with Altermere Yan Lin and Elyon try and figure out what is happening.

Meanwhile in Kandrahkar, Miranda arrives in the Auramere room, Blunk and Caleb fight it for a time being. Back on earth, Taranee manages to hear Elyon and briefs in the original guardians and Elyon about what has happened. Nerissa then tells the Guardians they can become one with their dragon and literally become their element all the while increasing their power to its absolute zenith. The Guardians do so, Will becomes a figure of Quintessence, Irma a figure of water, Taranee a figure of fire, Cornelia a figure of a tree with long hair and Hay Lin a figure of air. Elyon loses contact since they are no longer human and have become their elemant.

Back in Kandrahkar, Miranda finally beats Caleb and Blunk, before she can do her move to take the Auramere's, Sandpit knocks her out and she reduces back to her human form. Meanwhile in the main room of the fortress, When Tracker opens his body to release his bat army, Drake sees a weakness and dives into Tracker's body, taking control over him for short while. Drake finally gets out of his body and the mighty Tracker dies, only leaving his chain-ball, cloak and hat. Gargoyle takes care of Frost and Crimson.

Meanwhile, the new united Guardians manage to beat Cedric. Under the tremendous strain of stress, Cedric coughs up Phobo's with the Seal. The two pass out due to stress. Meanwhile, the original Guardians and Elyon notice that the jewel that held them prison has cracked. They all managed to escape, except Nerissa who does not have harmony and just wanted power making Elyon able to trap her within the jewel. While all of them try to bring the Guardians back a to their humanity, but Halinor says that this is useless because they have forgotten who they were and do not know how to come back as they are easliy been controlled by their elemant. Elyon tries to bring Cornelia back, Cassidy tries to bring Irma back, Yan Lin tries Hay Lin, Matt tries Will, Halinor tries Taranee. But soon, the Guardians then come back as their inselves of their humanity came back too.

In the end, the droplet jewel that has Nerissa trapped in, was givern to Juilian and Caleb, while Nerissa lives her days out of dreaming over the universe. Meanwhile, Phobo's, Cedric, Mirnada, Frost, Crimson, Sniffer (without his master) and the lurdens were now back in their cells in the Infinite City. Elyon who got the Heart of Meridian back and full power transforms Meridian back to the peaceful life again, Raythor finally got the dream of serving Elyon by her side and protecting her, so did Gargoyle and Sandpit who now protect the palace from harm. The council of Kandrahkar was freed from the veil and Halinor rejoined rebuilding the fortress. Queen Kadma gave the Heart of Zamballa back to Ironwood and retired and went to earth to live a more humble life. Cassidy got her wish to live again and now lives with her mother. Yan Lin introduces Mira Lin as a long lost sister to Hay Lin's parents. Finally, the guardians now to there job as protecting the universe again from harm.
