Little Princesses
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A UK charity which supplies and funds real hair, high quality wigs to children suffering hair loss as a result of cancer treatment.
The charity was originally set up by the parents of Hannah Tarplee, who lost her battle with cancer in June 2005. The charity is now run by Hereford Cathedral Junior School in conjunction with Hannah's parents, Simon & Wendy and Tracey Prosser.
Hair loss is caused by the strong Chemotherapy drugs which are used to treat most childhood cancers. Although the NHS can provide wigs, they are often of a very poor quality and look unrealistic. The charity aims to provide the best wigs available.
The Little Princess Trust as it is formally known is a registered charity.
