Louis II de Bourbon-Vendôme

Louis II de Bourbon-Vendôme, (1612-1669), was the second duke of Vendôme, and the grandson of Henry IV of France and Gabrielle d'Estrée. His father was César de Vendôme.
He married in 1651 Laura Mancini, niece of cardinal Mazarin.
Children :
- Louis Joseph (1654-1712), duc de Vendôme and Marshal of France.
- Philippe (1655-1727), called le prieur de Vendôme
- Jules César (1657-1660)
First he had a military career and became governor of the Provence in 1640.
But after the death of his wife in 1657, he entered the church and became cardinal and legate of France.
