Luke Ouellette

Luke Ouellette (born: July 22, 1953, St. Paul) is a politician and current cabinet minister from Alberta, Canada.
Luke was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in the 2001 Alberta general election as a Progressive Conservative member for the riding of Innisfail-Sylvan Lake in central Alberta.
In the 2004 Alberta general election he retained his seat after defeating Alberta Alliance Party leader Randy Thorsteinson. Premier Ralph Klein gave him a controversial new cabinet post as the Minister of Restructuring and Government Efficiency. The post was controversial as it increased the size of the cabinet, and opposition claimed that the minister was tasked to do the duties of the Premier.
