Luodong, Yilan

Luodong (Traditional Chinese: 羅東; Hanyu Pinyin: luo2dong1; Wade-Giles: lo-tung) is an urban township in the central part of Yilan County, Taiwan. Its name derives from the Taiwanese aboriginal word Rutung. Luodong is famed for its large, beautifully landscaped sports park

Luodong is served by the Yilan Line of Taiwan Railway Administration.

Luodong has a large night market conatining all the local food. The area can be polluted at times but many people still chooses to walk within the area. It has a large community which organises dance clubs and recitals for the elderly of Luodong.
There is a second park in Luodong which is more family oriented than the sports park.
