Talk:Maenad
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't have IPA fonts installed, so I can't put the IPA pronunciation for English Maenad. I removed a rough-shod pronunciation added by someone. Maenad in English is pronounced so that Mae- rhymes with see and -nad rhymes with bad. It would be cool to have the IPA transcription for many of these articles; the roughshod transcriptions look crude and unprofessional: this is supposed to be an encyclopedia. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (pronunciation). Alexander 007 06:25, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merging
The article Bacchants is merged into this article; Maenads and Bacchants are essentially the same thing. (^'-')^ Covington 02:32, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
