The film explores the downward spiral of a retired Hindi professor, Uttam Chaudhary, (portrayed by Anupam Kher), as he falls victim to Alzheimer's disease. As his senility increases, he begins to believe that he was accused of being the man who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi.
