[edit] Please read befor understanding from manorama
The newspaper was once the largest circulated "regional newspaper". currently has a readership of over 9 million, with a circulation base of over 1.4 million copies.Manorama is Kerala's largest selling and most widely read news paper.
One thing is that It one of the biggest fake.Manorama is one of the bigshots in Kerala. India's No:1 Tyre company MRF is belong to them.They have lot of money to circulate their news paper for Free. Why I am saying that When Manaorama started Publishing from Thrissur and Malappuram and out of Kerala they give news paper for free for some days. You just think how they making the largest circulation. Other thing is the Metro plus. They selling metro plus which have celebrites just like a second rate sex book. and Third and major thing is that lot of fake news are in Manorama. If an accedent any where like an earthquake or train/plane they will write more people died. You can check that thing comparing with Hindu or any other news papers.
Currently Police searching for Manorama chief editor for a case because of a Fake news. Any body can check whether this is true or not.
I suggesting that in wikipedia we can write about Manorama news paper. But praising thier like they were largest sailing is not good. That is why i wrote this like . Actually this is not a vandalism.
Now thier next aim is largest hit counting in Internet. In India most of IT employees are belong to Kerala (Malayalees). So it is easy to make hit count in that news paper. The major articles in that site are SHE, Sex, Campus Line, Fashon, Health (Sex questions to Doctors),Celbrities etc(in Both Malayalam and English). This is another second rate thing. Actually we won't promote this like things.
That is why added. I read in lot of articles for good people had critics. Actually they are very good people. But this Manorama people really need criticsm. A4ay 06:37, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

I hope the one who is going to expand this article will not forget to maintain NPOV.That would mean citing sources about Manorama's politics,its extremly biased way of reporting,its firm stance against communism and leftists,its over-sensationalisation of news,the presence of religious and parochial elements in op-ed(they even support Oomman Chandy than other cong leaders since OC is jacobite,the Church to which the Manorama owners belong to) ,the way advertisers inflence news,how they exploit sentimence (group prayer during Anju Bobby George's olympics jump,tinu yohannan etc etc ) commercially,how they are following the lines of Times of India by putting semi-nude pics in the newspaper,how they exaggarate the death figures during terrible casualities etc.--Sahodaran 14:47, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

- I am of the opinion that all the publications by Manorama like Vanitha, Balarama, etc. should be given its own page. We should give special importance to the yearbook, however, as you said, its popular all over India. thunderboltz 14:58, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV Tag
In my opinion the neutral point of view of this article should be discussed. The following paragraph itself proves the need of NPOV tag.
The success of Manorama Daily lies in the fact that it could win only over the affluent Christian community in Kerala thereby affirming the participation of advertising clients.
But as the middle class in Hindu and Muslim sections of the society began to attain financial growth, the spread of Manorama proportionately declined. Many other news dailies have mushroomed in the recent years including Mathrubhumi, Deshabhimani, Deepika etc.
If we refer Audit Bureau of Circulation, we can never see any circulation decline with regard to Malayala Manorama. It may be at its peak of circulation growth. But how can we can that be a decline? If we say Manorama could win only the afluent Christian community that also should be disputed. Take the example of Malappuram district where the Muslim population is the majority. In my knowledge Manorama leads there with the circulation. The article should be modified.
