Marine Corps Brig, Camp Pendleton

Marine Corps Brig, Camp Pendleton is a military prison operated at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton located between the towns of Oceanside and San Clemente in California. The brig has been in operation since 1972 and currently has a maximum capacity of 347 prisoners or detainees.
The brig has a staff of 180 which includes administrative, medical and food service personnel. The brig is nearly self-supportive in its mission to the Commanding General. Prisoners include all custody classes from minimum-security to maximum-security requirements.
