Mark Victor Hansen is an American inspirational and motivational speaker, trainer and author. He is known throughout the world as the founder and co-creator of The New York Times No. 1 best-selling "Chicken Soup for the Soul" book series, which Time magazine calls "the publishing phenomenon of the decade." With more than 60 million Chicken Soup for the Soul books sold in North America alone, the series currently has more than 65 titles and 80 million copies in print in more than 37 languages. According to USA Today, Mr. Hansen, along with his writing partner Jack Canfield, were the top-selling authors in the United States in 1997.
The Chicken Soup idea is just one of many that has propelled Mr. Hansen into a worldwide spotlight as one of the most dynamic and compelling personalities of our time. For more than 26 years he has focused solely on helping people in all walks of life reshape their personal vision of what's possible for themselves. Controversial Endorsement Appearances
On December 10, 2006, Mr. Hansen was spotted endorsing the services of telephone hotline psychic "Bishop E. Bernard Jordan" during an infomercial shown on the American cable television channel BET.
Considering Mr. Hansen's remarkable reputation as a public figure, some onlookers were puzzled by his apparent association with the seemingly unscrupulous services of Bishop Jordan.
