Marlin Camp Carbine

The Marlin Camp Carbine is a carbine rifle chambered for either 9mm Luger or .45 ACP rounds. It is considered solid, light, reasonably accurate, and easy-handling. It has very light recoil and is effective to well over 100 yards with its factory sights.
The Camp Carbine uses a detachable magazine that inserts into the magazine well in front of the trigger guard. The action is drilled and tapped for a scope mount. The .45 version is compatible with most Colt 1911-type magazines; the Camp 9 rifle magazine can be replaced by magazines from 59-series S&W pistols. The Camp 9 magazine well is sized for 12-round magazines, and magazines with higher capacities extend beyond the bottom of the magazine well. The plastic recoil buffer can be considered a weak point of the gun because it can easily crack and chip. The 11 pound factory recoil spring is also considered to be too light, especially for the .45 acp version.
